This product is terrible. It hasn’t even been three months since I purchased it, and it has already started making an extremely loud noise. On top of that, the ice melts, so it clearly isn’t working the way it should. I do not recommend this product at all. Very poor quality and extremely disappointing. Don’t waste your money. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this machine exceeded my expectations. It makes fresh ice much faster than I thought, and the operation is simple with just a few buttons. The ice is perfect for iced coffee, whiskey, cocktails, and everyday drinks. It’s compact, looks great on the counter, and saves me from constantly filling ice trays. Very happy with this purchase!

Positives: Creates 2 sizes of cubes quickly. Cons: If the cube holder fills up and there is not enough water left to make new cubes, it initiates the 'Add Water' light. As the cubes melt, the add water light stays on until you turn the unit off/on. My previous ice maker recognized when the water level rose due to the cubes melting and would continue to make cubes as the water level increased. This unit lets all the cubes melt, but does NOT start making new cubes. They recommend cubes be moved to a freezer so they don't melt. I preferred my previous ice maker which was a different brand. Also, this is my 2nd Sencre. The first one delivered did not work at all and had to be returned. I decided to give them another try, but regret that decision.

We really had high hopes for this ice maker from the positive reviews and the price point was great. We were looking for a great ice maker using spring water as opposed to tap water. The initial cleaning cycle lasted about 2 minutes as opposed to the 10 minutes indicated in the manual. So I repeated it a few times to ensure it was clean - each subsequent cleaning cycle was very brief and no where even close to 10 minutes. The first batch was super fast as advertised and the tray filled rather quickly. I did notice that the ice melted really quickly in my drink, more so than the ice from the freezer. Once “ice full” indicator light went on, I figured it would shut down for awhile as I am not constantly using ice, but the unit seemed to run constantly throughout the day making ice. I discovered that the ice it made was “wet” and that it melted steadily while inside the ice maker back into the water tray causing it to make more. I’m not sure what the internal temp is inside the machine but it isn’t cold enough to sustain the ice cubes. I tried transferring them to the freezer but because the ice cubes are “wet” when they are made, it just causes them to mold into a solid block when transferred to the freezer. Unfortunately, I sent it back a few days later.

Makes small ice quickly BUT the ice starts melting immediately. It doesn't help to move it quickly to the freezer. If I want to make ice and put it into a glass to drink the beverage right away, it's great. But making ice to use later, even when transferring it as quickly as possible, leaves me with clumped together bullet ice. I should have sent this back as it wasn't worth the money and the ice is so small that it even melts too quickly in the glass. I tried the paper bag hack but the ice clumped together in the bag and stuck to the bag.

If you want a dependable icemaker, This is the one you are looking for. Makes more ice that my wife and I can use in a day. I have a ice an ice bucket in the freezer for the extra ice. I have had just about every nugget chewable maker. They always freeze up and it screams and howls. The bullet ice maker like the Sencre runs smooth. Less mechanical and no ice being shoove in a tube. I love my Sencre ice make and you will too!

I ordered this because most of the reviews were good and it was a good price, but this machine is awful. It’s so cheap it doesn’t even have a “clean” button and the instruction manual is of no use. I called their “help” number and got someone who didn’t even know what the ice maker was. Then she told me she was going to ask her “colleague” and she never came back. I’m sending this back. Also, it made three pieces of ice in about 15 minutes and they melted immediately. Amazon has a nerve selling this thing.

seems to work very well and quite fast yes it doesnt have a freezer option but i knew that going in ..... the cubes melt sitting there ..... but it melts into itself and just keeps refreezing ...... what i didn't realize is that there wasnt a scoop holder WHY ??>?>?>?>?>? thats dumb !
