This royal stretch purple velvet fabric is stunning. It’s just as described. I love the deep rich purple. It is giving me royalty. The thickness is standard for the price. The fabric is soft, durable, and drapable . I recommend that you be a somewhat experienced sewer, this fabric will move a lot, I am use to working with delicate fabrics like satin and silk so it was not that challenging nevertheless you just have to take your time when cutting, sewing and pinning. I like this fabric. It's beautifully soft, incredibly shiny, surprisingly elastic, and it has some really nice colors. I do enjoy sewing with it, but there's one problem: When cutting, it sheds like crazy. After working on a project, I always find fibers everywhere, and they take a long time to clean up.
