My wife has used 2-3 other IPL devices in the last few years, and for the most part they're effective enough, if needing regular use taking hours (on larger areas) for a few months; some are cheaper, but the older models had no cooling tech like this promised, so when replacing the last one, this Amify model seemed to have everything needed and more! The first pro is the shape - other IPL devices using a gun shape seem more ergonomic, but while sitting hinched with your arms out at an angle they can start to strain the wrists after a few minutes. The lamp window is a good size, allowing for facial use as well as larger areas, but it will take a while to cover things like legs going a half inch at a time. Instructions are the best of any devices I've used yet, with plain language and no ambiguity)though you may need glasses to read some smaller text). They of course include the disposable razor and folding glasses as well (and some q tips), which seem to be standard for IPL kits, and the cord has plenty of length to get where you need. The size and weight along with button placement make using it easy, though it does lack a screen showing the number of flashes done/left, which every other IPL ive had used to ensure the halogen bulb is at the correct effectiveness. The level adjustment and cooling are easy to access and use on the flu, and even at the highest setting wasn't overly uncomfortable for either of us - though I didn't try the more... sensitive areas myself. Like all IPL, the hardest part is maintaining a routine to continually zap the follicles over a long enough period to shrink them completely, but after that you can use it once a month or less for maintenance if needed. The price is the only real con, but it's still around the middle tier, and I think is higher because of the fan and bimetallic heatsink tech built in for cooling, and currently being $20 or so cheaper on sale makes it a much better deal currently... Whether you're after face, bikini, legs, or anywhere else, you won't go wrong grabbing this IPL - and they don't falsely advertise "laser" treatment like so many other devices I've seen either!

The media could not be loaded. I’m very happy with this IPL hair removal device. It’s easy to use and comes with everything you need (glasses, razor, and manual). I like that it has different energy levels, and the cooling feature really makes the process more comfortable and painless. I’ve used it on my legs and arms, and I can already see less hair growth after a few weeks. The design is sleek and practical, and the price is fair for the quality. Highly recommend!

Its really easy to use, the pain level is tolerable for sure which is a plus for me because im very sensitive. I love to be able to have this at home. I already tried this product for my legs for the first time but i will use it for maintenance of my armpits. I think this is a really great option for in home treatment and you dont have to spend lots at the laser spa.

Been using this for over six weeks. I usually use an epilator so I had to wait a couple of weeks to get started. Didn't love to have to deal with shaving and stubble again but the hope of permanent results was enticing. The instructions were clear and the kit included everything needed to get started. Once I had the right starting point, I was started on my upper lip, underarms, and a small area on my bikini line. Machine is small and easy to hold. The first use, I used the lowest setting on my upper lip. It wasn't painful but you could feel a little heat. The chilling sensation felt nice and was helpful especially with the higher settings. For the underarms and bikini line, I went with the second setting. It was more painful but not so bad I was hesitant to push the button. After a couple weeks and getting used the motions, I moved up in strength. I didn't know what to expect but it was a pretty significant increase in pain. It's very isolated and goes away instantly but I was finding I was a little more trigger shy when using the highest setting. The chilling feature was key to continuing. I would equate the pain on the highest setting to waxing at the most painful of the month. It does pass quickly and doesn't linger as waxing inflammation. I didn't find I had any sensitivity following the procedure either. As for results, I feel like I'm seeing the most at my upper lip. It's not magic and there is still hair but it does seem lighter and thinner. Maybe 40% reduction overall. The underarms and bikini line also seems slightly thinner but I'm not sure if there is a significant change yet. Maybe 20% thinner. Will continue but this is not a quick process. Does seem to be working although very slowly. Might be worth it if this actually delivers results. For reference, my hair is dark brown/black and I have a light skin tone. No issues with discoloration after use.
