  • Decent starter build
I'm writing this review about the ibuypower enthusiast Gaming PC Computer Desktop ARCB 108A , I mainly brought this pc as an upgrade and to start a ryzen build since this pc has a ryzen 3 3200g. The graphics card Gt710 is a poor card by today's standard and I wouldn't expect to play anything AAA from today however I had a rx580 and decided to build around that gpu. Now this is a review based on my current build not original parts that came with the pc so i'll be brief the pc came packaged no damage everything included in the box. Before I added any parts I made sure to update all drivers and windows updates which was a breeze. All the components that came with this pc worked I brought hyperx 8gb ddr4 2667mhz ram which i swapped out the 8gb ram that came with the pc, from there I took out the gt710 and added my rx580 I used the top pcie slot and need to remove the two of the brakcets in the back of the pc to fit the card I'm sure the pc is 500 watts power supply as my gpu worked fine. As far as the case its a lot of room and the wiring was done neat however I don't see any additional places you can mount any more fans for cooling I have one that's inside not mounted but would have loved to add extra fans, The case is tempered glass and has 4 screws to secure the case on the backside is where your HDD sits and you can add an additional as I did with no issues. Currently with the ryzen 3 paired with my rx 580 I have a 144hz free sync monitor as for gaming I'm mostly using med-high settings for multiplayer fps games once I add another 8gb ram and change to the ryzen 5 2600 I should have much better performance But single player games I haven't had any issues using high ultra or max settings 1080p the games I tested were bf1, bfv, resident evil 7, final fantasy 14, guild wars 2, and world war z. So I'm really happy with my purchase solid case and great starter if you already have a gpu or better cpu. ... show more

  • Great for those on a budget!
First off, the delivery time was faster than expected despite the COVID19 pandemic! Second, the specs aren't that bad for it's own price! Great for first time PC users or those on a budget! I love the aesthetics, as far as the LEDs go. Can't complain! I love that this PC has antennas for simple connectivity to wifi. No software or drivers to be installed, just plug n play and you're good to go! Thanks for all you do, Amazon! ... show more

  • Good as a work computer.
Great overall value but not awesome for gaming. Plays CS go with like 30-50 fps on lowest settings with huge dips whenever an enemy comes on screen (I've been playing CS for about 20 years and have yet to get an online kill with this machine). If you expect to do any sort of "Gaming" on this gaming PC expect it to be mahjong or something that has little to no graphical requirements. I however did not buy this as a gaming rig, I bought it for work and it's worked quite nicely for allowing me to do remote work. The keyboard is another drawback, it comes with keys that stick and the windows key is replaced by an "I buy power key" which frankly just means you do not get to use the functionality of the windows key. I think the key design was to stop you from accidentally tabbing out during a game... which is cool but given the fact the keyboard is paired with a machine that can't really play any games that would require such a feature it's just annoying not to have a windows key. Granted I'm sure there's a feature to toggle that functionality I just have not found it yet. TL:DR Price good. Gaming bad. Keyboard bad. One note to be fair however: I don't think at this price point you will get a much better pre-built machine for gaming. I simply object to calling a machine that can't run games a gaming machine. ... show more

  • Quick and easy setup
Very easy to setup, and there was no 'protective packing' inside, so I didn't have to take the glass off, which made setup a bit quicker. Had to call Tech Support for help getting Windows to open. The Tech guy was efficient and quick, apparently the problem is known and easily fixed (just needed to tweak a setting). Quiet operation, pretty lights (don't really want/need them, but they can be turned off). Case is fairly big, but fits in the space as expected. While I am not a 'power' gamer, this machine handles the games I play with ease. Nice package for the money. ... show more

  • To play any modern games or edit video you must upgrade out of the box (Updated) 2/25/2020
I bought this Pc for my wife after our house burnt down back in July 2019. We were looking for an affordable gaming rig to play video games and do our live streaming. We are both live streamers and also make content for youtube and shoot product photography and other creative things. This Pc is way underpowered for even basic games from 2018-2019. Thinking about streaming nope, the wifi card in this unit is garbage and will not connect at fast enough speeds to stream without glitches. I have gigabit internet. This should never be an issue; my MSI laptop does excellent on the same network. So needless to say, you must upgrade this pc if you want to do anything with it. The good thing with this rig is you will have an excellent starting point! I have updated this system into a video editing monster, and it will now play any game at ultra settings no problem. The next upgrade to this Pc will be the Wifi card. Upgrades I made are as follows. Graphics card: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5 Ram: XPG DDR4 D60G RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz Adapter for graphics card: BENFEI 2 Pack 6-Pin PCIe to 8-Pin PCIe Adapter External HDD: Seagate Expansion Desktop 6TB External Hard Drive HDD – USB 3.0 If you add an extra $500.00 you can have a very nice PC that will do almost anything you want. Keep in mind this is a Budget PC and you get what you pay for if you only play older games that do not require much graphics power then you will be fine with this pc. For our needs, we just needed to upgrade. Update 2/25/2020 The power supply blew up literally while gaming. Stay away from this kind of prebuild you can buy your own parts and get a much better pc for the price. I am very disappointed in this product and I will not be dealing with this company again. ... show more

  • It's a great, fast, computer that I gave to my parents.
This PC isn't used for gaming, but my parents do a lot of business work and could use the speed. It's plenty of speed for their needs and that's all that mattered to me. Their older computer I rebuilt for my son to do his work during remote learning (SSD, more memory, software, etc...has plenty of speed now) bc it was slow as heck. If you want it for gaming, i'm sure it'll do well! I have a similarly spec'd computer that I game on with no problems. There's an abudance of USB ports but the top two don't plug in the whole way. Since they haven't needed it, I didn't bother switching or sending it back. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • My first dedicated gaming computer, EDIT
My old computer got fried over a year ago, and I'd been looking for a replacement. I was expecting to pay a lot more than $500, and I tend to consider any price lower than my expectation a bad sign in terms of quality, but I had heard good things about iBUYPOWER, and since it's an actual gaming computer, I figured it should work. And it SO DID. ---Pros--- It can play games with good graphic quality. Tested with Skyrim, FFXIV and Warframe, Warframe only lagged significantly in one area with a high concentration of other players. It has an internal wi-fi adapter, apparently. I have a wireless usb one I used on my old computer, and I realized one day that even when I take it out, the signal gets a little weaker, but the comp does not disconnect. I still use my wireless adapter to keep a stronger connection, but even if you don't have one it should still connect wirelessly to your network. It stays pretty cool, and quiet. I've run it quite a bit since I got it hooked up (a year without my own computer, you can probably imagine how hard it's been for me to pull myself away from it), and despite the fact that I don't hear the fan going in the case, I STILL have not managed to find a spot that gets significantly warm, even after being run for over 10-12 hours on a saturday. When I turn it off, I like to set a cloth over it to keep additional dust off the back, and I can confidently do so almost immediately after shutting it down. (I don't do it IMMEDIATELY, because I'm very paranoid about fire hazards...but that should cement my point.) It comes with a mouse and keyboard! I didn't actually need a replacement for either of those, but it's still nice to have the extras. ---Cons--- I only realized after it arrived that it doesn't have a CD-Drive. I should've looked more carefully at the images of the case...however, turns out you can get external CD-Drives for about $20-30, so an easy and affordable fix. Relating to the previous point, since the system has Windows 10, does not come with a media player program. EDIT: I found the media player. -.- And yes, I do feel stupid. ---UPDATE--- Ok, I'd hoped I wouldn't have to do this, but I realized it's been almost 6 months now, and I've spent the majority of that time being UNABLE to use this computer, so I have a responsibility to update this review. When it worked, it worked great, the above points still stand. However, one day the game I was playing crashed, and the computer shut itself down. It sat like a block in my room for almost 6 weeks before it finally responded again, which lasted about 2 weeks before it quit. That was about a month ago, and today it turned back on for a few minutes. I'd hoped to avoid having to get it repaired, largely due to the current pandemic, but it seems there's no choice. Again I'd like to say; when it worked, it WORKED...but I've had hand-me-down computers that have lasted me 5+ years, and this was marked as "New". It feels more like it came to me on it's deathbed. Hopefully you have a better result than I had, but MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE WARRANTY. ... show more

  • Great entry level gaming ps
Bought for my 14 year old son for Christmas. He isn't a gamer as much as he is into game design. He needed a more powerful PC than his standard pc. This solved his issues. He can access features in his design software that he wasn't able to run before. He is incredibly happy. We have been drooling over IBUYPOWERS website for years, and now he has one. Set up was a breeze. Within 30 minutes of opening the package he was setup and ready to go. So easy ! No bloatware crap to slow you down. I want one for myself now ! We are in love with this baby ! ... show more
