🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Reviews of the IBP computer model reflect a mixed experience among consumers, ranging from outright satisfaction with the product’s performance and build quality to severe disappointment due to hardware and software failures. Users commend its ability to handle demanding games and its overall build quality, highlighting the positive impact of high-grade components. However, some report critical issues such as system crashes, hardware incompatibility, and poor thermal management, raising questions about the product's reliability and long-term performance.

Pros

  • 🌟 Handles demanding games smoothly with no issues reported by some users.
  • 💾 High-quality components and build, providing a solid gaming experience.
  • 🔄 Positive long-term update indicating sustained satisfaction over time.
  • 🔧 Easy correction and upgrade possibilities for more tech-savvy users.

Cons

  • ❌ Some units suffer from severe hardware and software issues, causing system crashes.
  • 🔥 Inadequate cooling system design, leading to potential overheating problems.
  • 🛠 Frequent troubleshooting required for some, including reseating and replacing components.
  • 🔄 Issues with motherboard detection and hardware slots, implying potential long-term troubles.

Should I Buy It?

This product appears to be a gamble, with the outcome heavily dependent on the luck of the draw regarding hardware reliability and build quality. If you're a tech-savvy individual willing to troubleshoot potential issues or make adjustments, the high performance and quality components may make it a worthwhile risk. However, for those seeking a hassle-free, reliable system, considering alternatives might be advisable due to the reported significant issues by a portion of the users.

  • Everything I wanted
Went into it skeptical, came out of it nothing but happy. I've had this for a while now, log stupid amounts of hours playing demanding games, and have no issues whatsoever. Have been pleased with all the components used and the performance of the PC. It is exactly what it said it would be, has plenty of cooling, and not full of low end junk parts. Great piece of kit at a great price. (UPDATE over a year later - still nothing but happy with this! Been a rock star!) ... show more

  • Do NOT purchase this product
I never write any type of review for anything ever, this being my first one. I have never owned a computer that has had so many issues. This specific product; manufactured by IBP is a complete joke. It constantly had problems with basically anything; any download over 20gbs would completely crash the system and shut down completely. It would sit at the motherboard screen and not move for 10-20-30 minutes, sometimes hours. The audio drivers would constantly crash if there was ever more than two tabs open. Seemingly numerous issues with being able to have more than one game open at once; even low-process ones. I bought two sticks of 8 GB ram to go with the initial 16 that came with the desktop. The literal only thing that DIDN'T fail was the ram I bought for the desktop. I troubleshot basically anything and everything you can think of when it comes to hardware failure as well as any type of software failure. I had to reinstall windows numerous times, reseat my ram continuously, refit my graphics card, replace my CMOS battery, reinstall CPU fans, unplug and replug SSD/PSU, and reconfigure BIOS to defaults because overclocking is impossible(even though the card can supposedly handle it?), booting in safe mode more than 100s of times to fix system issues that randomly would pop up every couple weeks/days. I cannot stress enough to just completely avoid this thing, the support I got through IBP was a complete disgrace; won't be going through IBP for anything ever again considering almost every single thing in this junkbox was IBP-made. Amazon was the saving grace when it came to this thing. I bought 3 years insurance for it post the initial "1-year warranty" that's promised in the product details. The "1-year warranty" is just the seller and IBP beating around the bush and sending you back and forth between them. Amazon fulfilled my return request thankfully after going through hell for six months post-purchase of this thing. The only thing that's a positive out of this entire thing is the two 8 GB sticks of ram I bought that weren't IBP related, they work great in my makeshift desktop as of now. ... show more

  • I was a little worried,...until I saw it.
My ibuypower Model was with a 12700/3080 Ti - I know the reviews are a little mixed with these prebuilt comps. As we should all be wary of is shipping damage, mine arrived the day after I bought it by UPS in perfect shape!! I opened it up and removed the foam. I noticed upon a quick review that the back-upper motherboard had a screw missing. I was not too worried until I found the inputs on the back of the motherboard were crooked in the back inputs and would not seat easily,..I repositioned another motherboard screw to correct it. That was all that was necessary for corrections. The GC, CPU cooler, Ram,.Cable ties, all were secure. Being my 2nd ibuypower computer I had very high hopes and even before turning it on, I installed a high end sound card and my old gaming drive (WD black 5 tb, about 3tb of steam games) before powering it up,... everything worked like a charm. A quick recommendation after my first day of running it: This case does not breath well in my humble opinion. The entire front plate is solid and is sealed, the air inflow is just a right side of air intake, (about 1 inch with a filter) and about an inch completely open at the bottom. The CPU radiator is thankfully located at the top of the computer, however there is a fine dust filter, and then that is semi blocked by the small holes of the case itself. I removed the top dust filter (because air is flowing OUT of the case) to allow more air flow. The 12700 does put out a lot of heat from the top radiation. I like the thermal feed back on my legs to see how hot things are getting. This PC cranks, its beautiful..... I am very happy. I researched for about 2 months to finally get his one. My previous computer,...my old beloved i5-2550 finally died, so you know I take these decisions very carefully. Good luck with you purchase! ... show more

  • Love it but I'm worried.
I bought this machine in July 2022, and received it about a week later. I set it up straight away and instantly fell in love with it. It was a huge upgrade from my old computer. To my horror, sometime in about the 3rd week of August, I sat down to fine that it had, while already running and sitting at the desktop, booted itself to the Bios. I thought one of my sons might have been looking at the bios and just forgotten to set it back to the desktop. I tried 3 times to get it to reset and it just keep booting to the Bios. My son, who is much more knowledgeable than I am, looked through it and realized the motherboard wasn't seeing the hard drive. He pulled the hard drive out and put it back into a different slot, and that fixed it. It worked fine. Now, it's the middle of November and it did the same thing again on 11/18. He looked at it again, and found the same issue. He pulled the hard drive out and put it back into a different spot and it's working fine. We're not sure if this is an issue with the hard drive or the motherboard. I just know we shouldn't have to keep reslotting the hard drive and are hoping it doesn't happen again. We have 8 months left on the warranty and I'm really concerned that this is going to keep happening, or even that the system might just fail at some point. It's such a shame. It's a beautiful machine otherwise. ... show more
