Top Amazon Reviews

  • This thing is fantastic.... Bad reviews are probably mostly user error...
Style: i7 10700F | GTX 1660 Ti
EDIT- Been about two years since I purchased this PC and I am still very pleased. I have had virtually ZERO issues with the PC itself. My internet has let me down, and the games I have played have caused crashes (cough cough Fortnite Ch3 S4) ... but the PC has been rock solid. I think in total ive crashed maybe 3 times when there wasnt a known reason for why it happened. Ive learned a lot about PC's in the time that Ive owned this, and problems I thought were due to this PC I found out were internet issues and settings issues. I stand by my claims that bad reviews are most likely user errors and ignorance problems. I would gladly purchase a PC from IBUYPOWER again. If I were to change anything about this PC, I would look for a better GPU, (this gets a pretty consistent 144 fps on Fortnite on low settings with performance mode, but id want to get 240 with medium to high settings) and the power supply would need to be a bit stronger. Other than that this is a solid rig, and more than needed for someone just starting out in PC gaming. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. I would gladly recommend IBUYPOWER to any friends and family, and if im in the market for a new PC the first place I will be checking is IBUYPOWER. ORIGINIAL REVIEW- So let me start by saying, I review a lot of things on Amazon, because i believe companies should be held accountable for what theyre putting out there. I was extremely weary about buying something so expensive on Amazon, but ive been ordering from Amazon for 8 years, and honestly, I have rarely had an issue with anything, and when I have, they resolve it.. So I looked at Gaming PC's on here for well over a year, finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. Pretty solid specs, for a first time pc gamer, this is as good as anything.. If you look up the individual parts, you really cant build it for much cheaper than this. You have roughly $800 in parts here, so the rest is what youre paying for assembly. I never built a pc before, so I have limited knowledge, and didnt want to trust myself not to ruin $1000 worth of equipment. I figure its best to start with a prebuilt, and learn its parts first. This thing has a glass side, so you can see right in, and after reading up about pc's you can start to identify the pieces in your computer. Ive had mine since November 17th, and today is December 3rd, so I took a lot of time to draw my conclusions here, I wanted to make sure nothing went wrong, and so far, I had a game crash only once, and Ive put in probably 150 hours on this computer. That is the only thing that has happened out of the ordinary. Out of the box everything was packaged incredibly well, I opened it up, made sure everything had cables connected (there will be some loose cables, but as long as one connected in that bundle is connected, that is normal) On mine, everything was connected, some have had stuff pop loose during shipping, so you have to be mindful of that. I set it all up, turned her on, and it has run great ever since. I have fast internet, and this computer compliments it perfectly as pages on chrome load instantly, if im watching a video, as soon as I click a spot on the timebar, its playing from that spot as soon as I clicked. Games run flawlessly, Fortnite specifically runs pretty solid at 144 fps, but can dip down near 100 in some intense moments. But given that this is a mid tier model, that is very solid numbers. (If you want to see in 144fps, you need a proper monitor as well) I can not overstate how please I am with my purchase. Hopefully it stays that way, but I dont know what could make me change my mind. Im sure when you sell thousands of Pc's, and theyre all being shipped around, someone is bound to drop one, or miss plugging something in, or get a bad part now and again, so sure, you have a few bad reviews on here, but you can honestly pretty much ignore them. I read them all, one guy left one star and then started answering every question saying the computer was bad, but he probably just didnt know at all what he was doing because even if you have a problem, Ibuypower is here, replying to comments, questions, and they have a support team that is ready to help with anything, and worst case scenario you can send it back and get a different one.... Lets be real here, this company wouldnt be a company, and wouldnt be on amazon if they were looking to rip you off... You will not be disappointed with this PC if youre a first time gamer, or looking to do some basic streaming... If youre looking to stream with a high quality, and play games at higher than 144fps, you need something more powerful, but this thing is incredible if youre just looking to get into this, or for a kid who wants a gaming pc. I dont know what else to say other than 10/10, I would buy this computer 100 times over. Basic model for a gaming PC, but you cant ask for a better PC for just getting into pc gaming. ... show more

  • Very Good Gaming Computer After Modifications...
Style: i7 10700F | GTX 1660 Ti
I've been very pleased with this gaming rig so far. Some detailed thoughts: Pros: 1) The unit was well packaged and I didn't have any issues with parts not being connected or components coming loose during shipping. However, there was no foam insert in the unit I received. 2) Instructions were simple and easy to follow with all of the support options, etc. clearly laid out in the documentation. 3) I love the access to the back of the motherboard and the cables. Easy to get to and the cable ties were solid and well done. Made upgrading easy. Also, the ASUS motherboard is very good and has extremely intuitive and easy to use onboard controls for tweaking settings, etc. 4) Most of the components seem to be of good quality. The motherboard and GPU in particular were top notch. 5) The case is not only attractive but of very, very good quality. One of the best looking gaming PCs I've seen. Upgrades: 1) Even though the 1660 GPU was of a good quality, I had a GeForce 2070 Super in my old rig so I did swap that out. I sold the 1660 included with this rig for some very good money, lowering the cost of this PC buy a good amount. 2) Because I swapped out the GPU I did have to replace the Power Supply as well. I wasn't very impressed with the 500Watt PSU included (low quality) but that swap was easy and didn't cost me anything as I had a 750W in my old build. I would recommend a 750Watt PSU as a bare minimum if you're going to upgrade anything on this PC. 3) I threw two sticks of RAM in to beef this unit up to 32GB. Easy and cheap (less than $60). Also, I love the fact that this motherboard is upgradable to 64GB of RAM, providing insurance for future upgrading. 4) There are plenty of options to add more peripherals in addition to the already abundant amount of ports, etc. I always appreciate having room to expand a PC so the life of the build can be extended. IBuypower has done a nice job here. It would have been even better to have had one or two more USB ports in the front of the unit, but that's a minor issue. Cons: 1) As I stated the PSU was not the greatest. But that's an easy swap. I will say the way the PSU is installed (in the bottom of the rig with a molding over it) makes for a tight squeeze and not the easiest of removals. 2) The unit runs very hot in it's original configuration. The CPU cooler, although a step up from a stock unit, is not sufficient to run graphic intensive games at temps I'm used to. Again, this was not a tough fix as I had an upgraded cooler I simply dropped in from my old build. I also installed a fan above the CPU to get some better exhaust. It is good that the top of this PC is vented. 3) Fortunately I use an ethernet connection since I have a 1Gb internet connection. This is a plus since the wifi card (and antennas) provided are basically worthless. I ran the wifi just for fun and couldn't get my connection to more than 15mps. Even my 5 year old laptops wifi card gets me about 600mps on my home network. So I was surprised they would even bother to stock what is a really nice mid range gaming PC with a pierce of junk like this. Final thoughts: I know some reading this may criticize my positive review since I made so many modifications to this unit upon receipt. However, my former rig was 8 years old. Yes, I had made some upgrades which helped extend the life of that unit but this iBuypower build has a powerful 17-10700 CPU with a great motherboard, a very attractive case and the latest ports, etc. After selling the included GPU and upgrading some components (most of which I already owned), the net cost for me to upgrade to this PC was about $300 less than the purchase price. And now I have a pretty impressive gaming PC which rated at the top of the ranks on the UserBenchmark site. Not inly a UFO rating, but numbers that were 120% of that and in the upper 20% of the rigs tested. So with a few modifications I have a Gaming PC that should last for a very long time. Overall, I'm very, very pleased with this unit. Well worth the money IMHO. EDIT: I completely forgot to mention the two fantastic NVME slots on the motherboard. I purchased a 1TB Samsung EVO 750 SSD as well as a corresponding 500GB EVO, keeping the included 256GB SSD as a backup OS in case I ever have a crash (I probably won't use the 1TB HHD at all). The NVME drives are incredibly fast and run smooth as can be! The one slot near the CPU is a little tight so if you're changing out the CPU cooler like I did, be sure to install the NVME drive during that process (with the cooler removed) as it will free up some room on the board. Oh and adding some inexpensive RGB lighting helps as well. A great looking rig that is the fastest best performing PC I've ever owned. Very happy with this! ... show more

  • Initial review - some difficulty upon first receipt, but in one piece and in working order so far
Style: i7 12700KF | RTX 3070 TI
I'll be editing this review as I experience this PC, but I just wanted to say right out of the box that some users may panic because this says "wifi ready" and mine did not arrive with WiFi capabilities. I made sure the card and connections were properly seated, which they were, and went through 1,000,000 BIOS settings and MSI support only to find that the Intel WIFI drivers had not been installed and thus I could not use the wireless card. Upon downloading from another PC that I was replacing and installing and rebooting, wireless appeared and I now have no trouble. The included keyboard is nice, as I previously had a laptop (the A key didn't work for quite some time), but can be a bit loud for those used to membrane keyboards. I've got a Redragon Perdition that I've been using for ages that I can't let go of, so I can't speak to the included mouse. Other than that, well done, good and fast delivery. ... show more

  • Everything I wanted
Style: i7 12700KF | RTX 3080 Ti
Went into it skeptical, came out of it nothing but happy. I've had this for a while now, log stupid amounts of hours playing demanding games, and have no issues whatsoever. Have been pleased with all the components used and the performance of the PC. It is exactly what it said it would be, has plenty of cooling, and not full of low end junk parts. Great piece of kit at a great price. ... show more
