I got these for my Sena 20s. The upside: BIG improvement over the stock Sena speakers. You can hear actual bass sounds and the highs are not tinny. And because they are physically bigger than the stock speakers, ear placement does not seem as critical. I can stick a finger in my helmet and move them around a bit with not much of a change in sound. The stock speaker sound would change much more when I tried that with them. The downside: Well, besides the cost, there is a noticeable loss of FM radio signal strength. I can still get all 10 of my preset stations, but now I get station fade as I walk around and/or turn my head. The speaker wires ARE the antenna, and the right side speaker cable is maybe 2-3" inches shorter than the Sena one, so that must be it, because the wires are routed through my helmet exactly like the Sena wires. Now, they do include about a 2' extension cable with the speakers, so I inserted that between the plug and the Sena and it improved the reception, but the extension is way too long to try to fit it all inside the helmet. I suppose you could if you are really determined, but that's up to you. That's a lot of wiring to be running all over the inside of your helmet. Update: I managed to add the extension cable to my helmet wiring and while it did improve the reception, it's still not like it was with the Sena wiring, so these speaker wires must somehow be different. Maybe they are shielded. So, the end result is great sound at the expense of some FM radio reception. Of course, out on the highway away from cities you will have that anyway, just like in a car. If only they had made the wires a bit longer. It could also be the type of wiring making a difference. Maybe it's shielded or twisted, I don't know. I just know that the stock wires as well as my ear bud wires gave me great reception. No fade at all on any of my preset stations. I attempted to run the right side wire over the top of my head (a tip from Revzilla to improve reception) but it was a tight stretch with no slack at all, and would probably cause a wire break over time. What works best for my Arai full-face helmet is to run it along the lower chin where the rubber seal holds it nicely. It stays tucked in place without any stress or tight bends, and gives me enough slack to pull out the cheek pads without pulling on the wire.

Replaced my Sena 20s speakers with those. I even did a frequency comparison between the two speaker sets within and outside the helmet. The sound quality is superior with those speakers. Surprisingly, while the Sena 20s speakers were louder outside the helmet compared to these speakers, the quality of the sound was so much better with those new speakers. Taking them out on the slingshot revealed their true quality. At 50 mph the Sena 20s speakers made speaking/understanding really hard not to mention music quality was really bad and anything above 50 mph was not viable. With those speakers there were almost no issues until 80 mph or more, which is to be expected that at some point due to the speed. In addition all the padding options and self adhesive padding raising the speakers to your ear also made a big difference but to be fair to the Sena 20s speakers, I also compared those after raising them and the same results as outlined above. What can you expect if you pay ~$600 for a Bluetooth set where the speakers are worth $39, which is the price you can buy those from the Sena website. They should really invest in better speakers or at least offer an option for better speakers. The install was easy with my helmets and you only need a very small philips screw driver to remove the old Sena 20s speakers and then plug in these speakers into the 3.5mm slot (there are 2 slots, one on each side but only one is the 3.5mm). My only issue is the power up of the Sena 20s system as it always starts at the lowest volume if you use the 3.5mm speaker output vs their proprietary speaker connector. You have to get used to that and I will contact Sena to hopefully come out with a new firmware to address this. The only reason for the 4 star on value is the price. Yes, those speakers are better but I think that price is a little bit too high. I am very happy with them and I can recommend them to anybody. I should mention that I do not use any amplifier as some people are recommending and I am very pleased. You don't need to blow your ears out and you have to be able to listen to your surroundings while operating any vehicle. Not to mention having seen pictures of people having glued their amp to their helmets and it looks hideous.

I bought these for my AGV K5S full-face helmet; I got tired of wrestling with corded earbuds every time I put the helmet on. The sound quality and volume of these speakers is pretty impressive when manually held against the ear canals prior to mounting, as specified in the manual. Duplicating that when they are mounted is a challenge; on my K5S, the helmet strap mounting rivets prevent positioning the speakers just that TINY bit more forward for best results (for me), but still, pretty nice sound. This, of course will vary from user to user. My biggest gripe is, the self-adhesive Velcro mounting rings come pre-attached (velcro'd? Is that a word?) to each other. These are by necessity, pretty thin, and in separating them, they are easily deformed/damaged/torn. Not cool. Additionally, the Velcro does its job almost too well - when trying to remove the speakers, the adhesive lets go MUCH easier than the Velcro. It would also be nice if there was some means of securing the connector to the helmet included (i.e. an adhesive zip-tie mount). They're inexpensive enough, and for the price of these speakers, should be part of what's "in the package". Interestingly, there are two sets of spacers included, which if used, would suggest that the helmet is too large for the wearer; a motorcycle helmet should fit snugly, with almost zero free play and no movement when the wearer shakes his/her head side to side. The standard mounting rings position the speakers right up against my ears; any closer would be uncomfortable over time. I'm going on my first lengthy ride (>150 miles) in a few days, and will update this review if I discover any glaring problems or pleasant surprises.

Update 2: Customer service finally got in touch with me and required me to ship the headphones back on my dime so they could be "inspected" for warranty replacement. I never shipped them back and I won't be buying any more of their products. I wish you could do 0 stars. Update: The speaker wires shorted and now sound only comes out of one speaker. The 3.5mm plug and cable is designed so that when you mount a Sena 20S there is too much pressure and the cable is too short. A 1.5" longer cable would solve the problem. You could possibly try to extend the cable with an extension. Below 55mph these things sound fantastic. Theres not a huge amount of bass but they are much much less tinny than the speakers that come with either Sena or Scala Rider headsets. They provide a much fuller immersive sound without destroying the upper registry of hearing. Above 55 they are just OK. Not bad at all, but OK is all any helmet mounted speaker will be at that speed so don't take it as a negative. No helmet mounted speakers are going to provide bass that you can hear at highway speeds, physics won't allow it. These things are at least twice as thick as the Sena speakers and are much heavier. Keep this in mind because they will touch your ears. They come with a large amount of foam spacers and leather covers to keep them clean. I would not buy them again. Customer service has been non-responsive through Amazon. I'm currently waiting for reply contact through their website.

I want to share a couple things about my experience with these speakers and setup to help others make a decision, who might be on the fence like I was. I am a very experienced rider and have been through MANY sets of speakers, headsets, earbuds, etc in hopes of getting some decent audio quality in my helmet. I ride about 10-15k per year on an R1200RT and while I have found the best audio quality in a good set of earbuds, they can become uncomfortable for long days and long trips after repeated use. After reading the description and other mixed reviews, I decided to try "one more" pair of helmet speakers hoping they would be the ones to change my life. I am using the speakers in a modular helmet connected by wire to a Sena 20S bluetooth unit that connects wirelessly to the bike. I can sum up the whole experience by saying... Wow! You need these! These are as close to earbud quality as you are going to get in a helmet speaker. I was truly amazed! They are well worth the $120 that I paid. As the description and manufacturer will tell you, it is very important to make sure that you utilize the spacers provided to ensure that the speakers are resting directly against your ear while wearing the helmet or you will not get the volume that you would expect. As far as quality, they are great and have a surprising amount of bass, while not being overkill. I had an issue with the first pair that I received and after swapping out the Sena 20S unit, I realized it was the speakers. Contrary to other reviewers, when I contacted iASUS customer service, Curtis was super helpful and tried to help troubleshoot the issues I was having. When it was determined that I might have received a dud, they immediately shipped out a new pair at no cost via priority mail and I had them within 2 days. Zero problems with the replacement unit. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I will be talking all of my riding buddies into getting a set of these helmet speakers.

I bought this set because the reviews said these were the best, loudest motorcycle helmet speakers you can buy. However, it did say its not that great without a in-line amp, or a special app on your phone. Lemme tell ya fellas, these things suck! I ride either a Harley V-Rod or my preferance KLR650 Duel-Sport. I got the unit today, installed it in my helmet. (the kind with open eye area to fit goggles) I plugged directly up to my phone, and pressed play on some old school Marilyn Manson. I couldn't believe it, I couldn't hear it at all unless I smoosh the speakers up to my ears! So don't be fooled by the videos where theres music blaring out of the helmet... I did, now I have waisted over a $100 for something that could have been out-performed by a stand-alone bluetooth earbud from Walmart for $10.00. Pros? The sound quality is very good, but if you have to buy extra gear straight out of the gate with these things, its seems more like a scam to me. Need a visual? ok..... I have a KLR650 Kawasaki DuelSport. No after market exhaust or anything. I had these things crammed into my ears and after 45 mph I couldn't even recognize some of my favorite tunes.

Edit to this review: About a month ago, I started to get a bad crackling noise in the right side speaker. It started out as almost imperceptible, but got worse over time. I ignored it for as long as I could, but eventually I realized it was done, and I would have to buy a new set. I was all ready to purchase a new pair, because even though they only lasted a year, they sound so much better than the stock speakers in my Scala Rider Q3 that I figured it was worth it. At the last moment, it occurred to me to check the warranty, so I emailed the seller, and they were AMAZING! They asked me a couple of questions, then said a brand new pair was in the mail, and sent me the tracking number! this is a company that really stands behind their product! If i could give them 6 stars I would. They said the first batch had a few issues, and the new ones had these resolved. So great sounding product, and superior service from a company that really cares about their product and their customers. They now have a customer for life. LOVE these. Used them to upgrade the stock speakers in the Cardo Scala Rider Q3, and they make a WORLD of difference. I've been riding motorbikes with intercom systems for almost 10 years, and these are far and away the nicest sounding speakers I've ever had the pleasure of using. They make your music come alive in an astonishing way, even while underway on the bike. They are pricey, over half the price of the unit they went into, but I think they are totally worth it if you spend a lot of time riding. Would buy again in a heartbeat were anything to happen to the original pair.

I purchased these to help overcome the woefully inadequate speakers that come with the Sena 20S Evo motorcycle intercom, which have a very good top end but absolutely no mid or low range. The iASUS XSound 3 HD speakers did noticeably improve the sound quality by adding some much needed bottom end but there is no way that the very high price of these units justify what gain was had. I would say they cost twice as much as they are worth, plus the shipping cost was inordinately high (to Australia).
