I owned a Jassy machine but HATED how inconvenient it was to use, so much so that I threw it out. I went looking for another machine since I was sorely missing my afternoon espressos. After reading the reviews I was excited and hesitant to purchase this machine. Decided to take a chance and very glad I did! First off the negative reviews come from severe operator error and possibly stupidity. I read the more than thorough instructions and paid attention to the instructions that are also on the outside of the machine that one could only miss if their eyes were closed. Filled it with water and cycled it through the first time as per the manual. This thing is so easy to use! It tells you the max fill line on the capsule for the grinds, and the arm that holds the grind capsule is quite easy to put in, essentially when compared to the Jassy which was like an upper body workout every time. Push the power button, all the buttons on the front start blinking, when they turn solid you push desired brew size or frothing/ hot water and away you go. The espresso was perfect with a nice creamy head on it! The only down fall I can see is the thing vibrates as it brews so if you have a lite metal espresso cup on the tray it will vibrate off. I simply held onto the cup, so more of an annoyance than anything. All in all I'm super happy with this little machine and would feel quite confident gifting it! ... show more

    • Broke after 2 weeks, possible fire hazard
I absolutely loved this espresso maker for the 2 weeks it worked. This morning I tried to make a cup and it suddenly started leaking water from everywhere. Water even seemed to have gotten into where the motor seems to be and was leaking out of that area, which then caused the whole machine to become EXTREMELY hot, as in I was afraid it would catch fire level hot. Even scarier still was that the electrical component seemed to malfunction when this all happened, and the machine wouldn’t shut off. I had to pull the cord from the outlet to get it to stop running.     • Good bang for the buck
Update . Machine didn’t last for 12 months. Back to the drawing board . Will not purchase again. So far this machine has been kind to me however I still have not figured out how to make a second cup of espresso after the first has been complete. The buttons will flash for a long time before I can go ahead and make it. And I cannot find any you tube etc on how to descale. Otherwise, I am happy with the purchase for the price. ... show more

    • It failed to operate after 3 months.
It worked great for 3 months prior to rupturing and experiencing a simultaneous display panel failure. As this was well within the 2 year warranty period we contacted the manufacturer. Unfortunately there has been no response.

    • New Machine would not work
Not at all satisfied. Brand new machine and would not work at all. Tried everything and no water would come through. Instructions are poorly written as well.
