it worked 100 perfect. eventually my fish died from disease and i left the heater in the tank. i let the tank get a little overrun with algae as i was converting it to a copepod farm. a friend of mine was setting up a betta tank and i offered to give her the heater. when she cleaned it up and put it in the 10 gallon tank, it got way too hot. luckily she was able to monitor it since she was off work that day. we were scratching our heads until she turned the temp control about 8 degrees below the target temperature and voila, it worked. if you buy this just make sure you have a thermometer and check it regularly.

I like the black it looks cool. Works well and does get moisture sometimes inside the glass which happens to all the brand's I have. I'm sure the moisture is a product of altitude and temperaure. Maybeanufacturers of aquarium heaters could start using Nitrogen gas in the tube maybe that would.help

This heater didn’t even last a year. The suction is defective and now i am stuck with a broken heater that i now have to replace, ridiculous. don’t buy.

The inside of the heater gets condensation, the bottom rubber expands/melts, temperature accuracy is of the chart I have 2 200w in my 55 gallon aquarium set at 76°F/24.4°C but tank temperature is at 80.5°F/26.94° C. Buying another brand soon before this Malfunctioning.

I have an open top tank about 30 gallons, it keeps the tank warm even when the room is cold. I did lose a snail on it. Looks like it chose the wrong place to sleep? It was stuck to the heater. Still has some slim on it.

Dont remove it from the water while on for any reason. The fuse inside blows and the heater becomes useless. I checked to make sure it was working, and in doing so, apparently I broke it. On to the next brand. Update: unprompted, hygger reached out to me and shipped a replacement free of charge. Great customer service is rare and deserves acknowledgment.
