  • Excellent machine
Just as we expected! Great quality! Easy to use. 2nd Husqvarna sewing machine I have owned. Only bought another due to a lovely new wife! She was happy with my choice as well. Highly recommend this machine.

I just bought this machine on the recommendation of a friend. I've been watching how to videos online and this machine has been very good at everything I've tried to do so far. I'm incredibly new at this and looking forward to exploring more. I am so grateful there are so many youtube videos out there. ... show more

  • the light burned out after a couple hours of use
there is no way to get to the bulb to replace it, you have to take it in and the cost is a minimum of $100 or more depending on where you take it.

  • Equal to a cheap Brother
I had my previous Janome for the past 15 years and I have been talking about getting a new sewing machine for a few years now. My husband decided to surprise me with a new machine for my birthday. A wonderful gesture that went horribly wrong. First, he went to Joann Fabrics and told the incompetent Viking sales woman in Greenfield, WI that I had been sewing since I was child and that I sewed with a variety of fabrics. This is the machine she recommended for an advanced sewer. Unbelievable. If it were a car it would have no air conditioning, manual windows, and nothing more than an AM/FM radio. While that doesn't make a sewing machine bad, the fact that I was able to sew an entire chiffon prom dress and my own wedding dress on my old machine and am skipping stitches on simple chiffon curtains with this machine tells me this machine is junk. I am on day three of troubleshooting and I kept thinking I just wasn't used to it, or I needed to adjust a setting, but honestly I think I'm just trying to make it work because my husband was very excited to give me this gift. He paid over $400 for something that could have been purchased for $125 at Wal-Mart. Husqvarna is a good name in sewing machines, but pass on this one especially if you sew regularly and enjoy using decorative stitches, speed control that isn't dependent on a very touchy presser foot, reverse button placement that allows you to still control the fabric, sewing on fabrics other than cotton, or any other feature on all but the most bare bones of machines. If you are looking for a machine with only basic functions I would find something much cheaper. With this machine, you are only paying for the name. I have yet to see anything that tells me it's superior to other brands basic models that are hundreds of dollars cheaper. The cost for what you get is almost criminal. ... show more
