You can still put a little sweat equity into building your new ride, but you don’t have to start from scratch. Each bike comes with clear directions, but assembly will vary based on your experience. For the skilled bike mechanic, you may be riding your new bike in as soon as 30 minutes or less. For everyone else, plan for about an hour before pedaling away on your new ride. If you don’t have the time or the confidence to build your own bike, please take your Hurley to a local bike shop to build it for you. I'll start off by saying, there is not much about this bike online, besides what's on this listing, or reviews for that matter. It doesn't even seem to be listed on the joyride site anymore as a model that is currently for sale. So I took a gamble and just bought the thing. For those who don't know, this bike seems to be a collaboration with joyride. It's a dual suspension, 3 by 8 speed 29in mountain bike. I can easily say, this thing is pretty solid. I weigh around 240 and I felt very comfortable on the bike. I don't know how it will do on rough trails, but I can say that smooth to moderately tough terrain should be fine. I have a trek marlin, and this thing rides pretty similar. Assembling it was very easy, I did have to do some brake adjustments in the front to prevent rubbing. But overall, very easy to put together, and very solid build. The components on it seem to be decent quality, as they went with a Shimano gear system. The brakes are ok, but I will definitely be upgrading to better ones soon. For the money, I don't think this can be beat. I definitely would take this over all the other 500 dollar mountain bikes you see on amazon. I say it closely competes with shwinns in the same price category. Shipping was fast, and it was neatly packaged. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Will update if it starts to fall apart, but for now, it's a winner. ... show more
