The media could not be loaded. This one Overdelivered HUGE based on my expectations. There are a LOT of things about this platform that I like. First being the size and that my men’s size 11 boots can fit on it and my ENTIRE FOOT can be on the platform with my toes touching the tree. I do not have to “V” out my feet in order to get "most of my foot" on the platform. The next is the SILENCE of the stand…even the pivot has rubber bushings to prevent metal on metal noises when stepping into it. The strap is the BEST I’VE SEEN for the hunting tree gear that I have ordered. The strap is THICK and the sewing and stitching is QUALITY with no loose threads and no wonky lock stitches or repeat rows to correct a sewing “error.” The top of the platform has nubs on it to provide traction and I wasn’t all that sold on them until I stood on the platform and they really do their job to ensure sure footing while on platform. I really like the top “set pedal” and how big it is. It allows me to get on it with my entire weight and then flip down the platform with my other foot and step down. This is super handy for not only setting the platform solidly but also for foot work, shifting resting positions, stepping up to hang a gear strap completely out of the way, setting my rigging, and a little “shelf” to do small things on or to set my phone or drink when slacked out and lounging. Comfort is key for a multi hour or even an all day sit so all the little things add up throughout the day and I appreciate the little stuff sometimes. The Very Last Thing I LOVE about this platform is its SHAPE and all the outside swoops and points. The outside frame shape combined with the larger footprint allows me to easily plant a foot and step around the tree. Weak side, strong side, one foot planted and turned…it doesn’t matter because the stand shape has got my back and there is always a smart shape/place to put my foot for what I want to do. The stand is cast and “utilitarian” in the looks department but still looks good. There is one spot on mine where someone may have tripped with a grinder in their hand while taking off, probably a bad spot from the casting or mold. I showed it in my pictures. I don't really care because this stand does what I wanted one to do and where the rubber meets the roads it is spot on, for me. I think most will like this for the extra space and everything else I mentioned above. This is a recommended item. I am VERY HAPPY with it overall and I cannot wait to get a chance to play with it some more! Good Value. A+ platform.

I ordered the saddle hunting platform to add to my saddle hunting setup. I am just getting started with saddle hunting and want to have a better way of hunting from a tree. I have done plenty of reserch and this platform seems to line up with what I'm looking for. The goal for saddle hunting is to be light weight, more mobile, safe, and more comfortable. I prefer comfort over light weight and that's what this stand has to offer in my opinion. The stand came with simple directions and a cam buckle type tree strap. The platform is all lightweight alloy except the hardware/bolts. The platform weighs 6 lbs, which puts it towards the middle of what other stands weigh. With it being a decent size stand, I would say that's a good weight. Some weigh upwards to 10lbs. I did notice the aluminium is pretty shiny, so I ended up painting it black. As is It will naturally oxidized on its own In time. There is probably enough grip on the top surface but the edges could be improved on. I added paracord for added grip. The price of this product seems to be about right for what you should expect. This construction makes for a very solid stand, with room for minor improvements that seem to be very common in this type of product. These improvements are mostly based on individual preference. It is way more comfortable then a traditional seated tree stand, when combined with a proper tree saddle. It's easy to install. It also has a larger surface with many foot hold areas to give you many different positions you can use. With having a somewhat larger platform, you can use on it on larger trees for better positions. You can change the angle of the stand with a provided set screw underneath, to lean the platform up or down. I plan to use an extra strap to stabilize the bottom of the stand for more lateral pressure from the side so it can't move. I did find that you can easily wear this stand like a fanny pack by using the strap provided. Overall I give this product 4.5 stars based on my overall experience and expectations. I'm very happy with adding this to my set up.

I got this for one of my "regular trees" this fall. I normally like to scout and then hunt the freshest sign, carrying everything I need with me. But, I do have a few spots (and trees) that are consistently good year-to-year. So, this year I decided to add an extra, larger platform that I can leave in-place. This will work perfectly for that. I normally run a Tethrd Predator platform (regular, not the XL) and this is MUCH larger than that, and is noticeably heavier. That being said, it's a hang/leave platform for me so that's not an issue. The platform is very large and will easily fit my size 11.5 boots entirely on the platform. I like the angled/textured portion on the top of the post. This makes it easier to stomp down into position on the tree for a solid attachment. It also provides another nice place to place a foot in order to angle for a difficult shot. The grip is of the platform is very similar to my Tethrd platform and offers great traction. I scoured the thing for casting defects and can't find any...it's very well-made. The included cam-strap is thick, well-stitched, and holds weight well...no sag/give. The black teeth on the post offer great bite on the tree. I wouldn't carry this for an ultralight rig deep into the woods...there are better, lighter options than that. But, if you don't mind extra weight (or want to hang it and leave it) and like a large foot bed, this is a great option.
