This bed is absolutely perfect for us. It’s farmhouse without being too farmhousey / Cracker Barrel / shabby chic looking. The black color is a nice touch to the off-white / ecru color. The finishes are a little fragile/soft so this bed frame would be best in a guest room or main bedroom. It took forever to put together but it’s user error mostly. Definitely needs two people. Bought this and got the matching dressers and night stands. The drawers do require patience to put together as the slide rails and screws that secure them must be flush. Otherwise, the drawers will catch every once in a while. They’re best used for sheet sets or delicates like underwear or lingerie. It’s sturdy and can handle the weight of two adults and dog. My dog likes to hide under the bed even though he hardly fits.

Yes I love this bed frame! It's a good quality frame. I even bought the night stand. I will be purchasing the full dresser set soon. The only thing I gotta say is it does take a long time to set up. Other than that I'm happy with my purchase.

Bed arrived damaged on the headboard (where it would be obvious). I have initiated a return, which requires me to pay to ship this back, along with having to hire a moving truck and men to carry it to a UPS/USPS store. The estimated cost (according to their return link) will be around $450, not counting hiring the movers/truck. I will not receive my return payment credit until 2-3 days after the seller receives the return. This is NOT reasonable for a return of this heavy/large of an item.

BUYER BEWARE: I wish I could give this bed no stars. First mistake; receiving a broken piece and deciding to “make it work” because the bed is so heavy it would be impossible to return. Right? Wrong, I’m petty and returning this thing. The headboard immediately broke after putting the mattress on. We didn’t slam it down we just scooted it across the planks and boom, down it went. User error? Maybe? But we put it back together, tightened everything double checked everything and tried again. Didn’t fall the second time.. that is until we went to bed and down that headboard went again. So I reached out to customer service. LET ME TELL YOU, ITS A JOKE. Automated response, no solution other than “we can send you new pieces and give you a partial refund, or you can send it back just type “return.” Now I’m pretty sure it’s going to take an additional 48 hours to find out what their preferred carrier is. Absolutely ridiculous. THEN after all is said and done and I’m ready to pull the mattress back off we see tension breaks in the food board. This bed is so heavy it could have easily injured us and our animals and you can’t even talk to a real person to get a genuine solution or answer to your questions in a timely manner. I totally retreat buying this bed.

After having a waterbed frame with storage in place for over 35 years it was time for an upgrade. I am very happy that this is what I replaced it with. I was very concerned since I have NEVER ordered anything of this level from Amazon. I was worried about the quality if the product, the shipping, and the assembly. After much internal debate and anxiety, I am glad that I did it. This was a HUGE decision and change. Keeping in mind that when you order something like this there is going to be assembly. After multiple trips to big brand furniture stores and lots of sticker shock this was a great find. Less than $500 and every bit, if not slightly better quality than in stores. Assembly took about 3ish hours with myself and my son both working on it, we are both fairly mechanically inclined. Just follow the directions and trust the process. I suggest laying the pieces out by number (there are MANY pieces and parts) also have a power drill, a screwdriver, and a socket set ready to go. The finished product looks great and is of very nice quality. I have paired it with a new Select Comfort mattress and it fits great! We even got the matching night stands. The drawers are smaller than what I had previously. But how much useless crap do you need to store anyway?

Opinion: I ended up paying around $500 after shipping and such, so for that amount of money I was hoping for something sturdier than a headboard that I hear creak and possibly crack any time I lean my head on it as a 5'5" 110 lb person. The coating on the wood itself is also pretty low quality, it damages very easily and even with multiple people working together and being as careful as possible- it still got scratched quite a few times. Reason for rating: +1 It is as advertised. It matches the images and dimensions shown. Including the storage space. +1 for shipping. It was well above what was expected. Very fast and no damage (that I've seen) from shipping. -1 for item quality. It isn't the greatest for what I ended up paying. Honestly is just better to check out local sellers at this point. Headboard is of questionable stability and the metal is much lighter weight than id expect for a bed this size. I worry about the beds structural integrity over time. -1 for price. Too expensive for the quality. As for instruction clarity, they were clear at points, but I wish things were better labeled in others. I had help and we were able to work out any confusion together though, plus there's a point where you really should have two people holding it up. They don't deserve a star for clarity thats for sure.

Takes a long time to put together… but doable. It’s heavy- not solid wood. Some pieces were cracked/damaged but they ended up Being on the inside so they don’t show. Hopefully they will hold up in the future. It’s quiet, we painted the top board to match wood tones in our room. Drawers are small.
