Overall this is a very good honey gate at a great price. As with ALL honey gates you must first make sure that you tighten the hinge screw before closing the gate and then tighten the wing-nut. I had one gate out of 20 that did not pass water seal testing. I removed the o-ring, wiped it off, coated it with a very thin application of food grade silicon grease, and re-installed it. Cured the leak! The seller has been great to work with too! Thanks for the extra o-rings! I will continue to get my honey gates from this seller in the future. ... show more

Easy to install on a new bucket. Used a standard hole saw bit and then a dremel to widen the hole just a bit. Finished off by tightening (ever so gently) using a pair of channel locks with tape on the jaws to prevent scratching. Take your time and it will work out fine.
