It's supplemental for a larger unit already in operation in our basement. It's a larger basement, around 1,200 square feet, with the larger unit placed by the furnace room. This smaller unit us placed in the alcove between the bathroom and the office, with the main living area between the two dehumidifiers. This one does the job, but it's smaller than I expected it to be. Its water collection bucket is also smaller, and the optional hose isn't the standard garden hose size / attachment like the other one has. But it does work, and it alleviates the load on the other dehumidifier. It's very quiet, and seems to have good logic for what schedule to use for the most efficiency. The office is full of electronics, and I'm happy to report that this unit helps keep the entire basement at 50% all summer long. Bravo. This unit, slightly larger, and using the standard hose connection would have been perfect. Still, I'm glad to have purchased it.

I have been running this in my basement in Atlanta for 4 months. It has not skipped a beat and has pulled the moisture out. Although it was a little expensive, as long as it lasts a year, I will buy another one.

This lasted a total of 3 mos. It still turns on but does not collect water in the drain basin. When I first got it the basin was full within 3-4 days. Now it turns on at 50% humidity as it always has but the collection basin is dry as a bone. Turning on and collecting nothing.

I received this dehumidifier on December 10, 2024 and have been using it in a small home. I keep my house thermostat set at 63 degrees. The dehumidifier works good at reducing the humidity levels in the home, and has been in center of the home. It is quieter than I expected. The main drawback of downside has been it spontaneously icing up and not automatically defrosting. I have to physically turn off the unit and wait for the unit to completely defrost again before I can use it again which is a bit frustrating. Today marks the 5th time out of 19 days of use that I have had to turn it off to get it to defrost.

The unit is working fine and is in good condition. However, I ordered this model because it has an external hose to a drain that frees me from constant emptying but the hose supplied is pressed flat half-way down and will only back up discharged water back into the tank and necessitate me emptying it. I have tried to contact the seller to get a replacement hose but am instead sent to JustAnswer.com to pay them a minimum Prime monthly charge to connect me with James, the company rep., to send the part. I am not doing that and it is bordering on fraud to do this sort of “bate-and-switch” tactic to anyone!! Just send the damn part and don’t cost the customer such grief!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the small size of this dehumidifier yet, even more so when I turned it on and there is very little noise while it's running. In fact, it enables me to still run it when I see clients in the next room. I highly recommend this product, especially if space is an issue. I would have liked a little bit bigger of a reservoir for the water to collect in but all in all it's very easy and straightforward to operate.
