Excellent Dehumidifier – Quiet and Works Great!

It was working great for 2 months.

So after a few months of using this, I can do a good review now. The dehumidifier worked great, I had it with the pipe thing going down a drain and was keeping our basement dry until I noticed water collecting in the base. Turns out it’s now leaking from on top part near where the pipe goes. :/ so now I have to make sure it’s being drained out.

Fantastic for the price

Very quiet considering it has a compressor. It is absolutely fantastic at dropping the humidity in my room, I’m in FL and my room is noticeably drier than the rest of my house let alone outside. No leaks, I do wish the reservoir was bigger but that’s why there’s a drain line. Filled up twice the first day I used it.

Some real-world specs

So far, So good. It's compact, pretty quiet, cheap ($76), and works reasonably well. It is listed as 240W. The actual label reads 1.2A which is 138W. I'm ok with that because I was looking for the smallest unit available. (I verified the 1.2A draw with a meter.) It is listed as serving 1600 sq ft - HA-HA-HA! That size simply requires a unit much larger than this. Real-world data: I have it in a 200sqft office which is inside a larger building. Ambient conditions are about 80F and 80% humidity. After several days it has "bottomed out" at 48%. (The unit in my house will reach 38%.) Overall, I'm pleased. Hope it will hold up for at least 3-5 years. (Anything past that will be a bonus.) Minus one star for the misleading/erroneous listing data. (FYI, R290 is propane.)

Great product but it does not work in as large of an area as it claims

We purchased this for our basement to help with the extra moisture. We had a larger one that came with the house but it failed on us this year and we needed a new option. We liked the price of this one and thought it would work with the size of our basement but unfortunately it was a lot smaller than expected and it has a hard time keeping up with it. We do have a lot of moisture and some leaking in the basement when it rains so it was a pretty big job for a small dehumidifier. I would say this is a great purchase for smaller rooms but if you have a larger basement and have a lot of issues with moisture, you're going to need two or three of these or a dehumidifier that is a lot larger. Now it is still a great product. It runs a lot quieter than our old one. It was an easy set up and we have had Zero issues with it emptying on it's one. I do like the compact size compared to our old big bulky one and it does have a nice design. It doesn't take up much space and could easily be used in a small room without being in the way. I would purchase this product again and may buy one or two more to help with our basement.

Very efficient whisper quiet

My bedroom has the highest humidity in my apartment, it reduces humidity down to my setting of 65%. I never need to turn it off, it’s fully automatic. It also reduces the humidity around my apartment while it is running in my bedroom, I have humidity meters around my apartment so I can monitor the changes. I set the fan low so it’s very quiet. My apartment size is 580 sq ft.

Title and size is misleading

So, in the product name, it says 21 pint, when that's apparently the amount of moisture it's able to collect. The actual container is so much smaller than 21 pints, it's not even funny. Yes, the actual size is in the product description if you scroll toward the bottom, but it seems that it was purposefully misleading. It's also much smaller than it is in the photos. Does it work? Yes. But I have to empty it wayyyy more than the 95 oz one we have in our bathroom, and that room definitely gets more humid than our basement. Would not suggest if you're actually looking to take care of a larger room.
