After installing, I was disappointed in several areas. This is replacing a 1,500sq' 32pint dehumidifier. I figured get a bigger one, as the old one was working all the time. The 1,500 had a full sized drain hose connection. This has a 1/3" plastic drain tube thats 3' long. It can not be made longer w/o being creative. The blowing output has Slow as heck, and just a tad faster than slow. It Is quiet. Now the real issue. Read the fine print. This is rated 50 pints at 95f and 90% humidity. Thats a sauna. This is a fake 'standard' they made up. In the US we use 2012 DOE Standard. Which is set to 80f and 60% humidity (realistic). At that standard, this dehumidifier is approximately a 15 pint. My old 1,500 sq ft 32 pint was FAR superior to this one. For a small room, this is quiet, and it does work. I would purchase this based on a 15 pint 500sq ft room and it being cheaper only.

i bought the 21-pint dehumidifier for my basement, and it's been a real helpful. the 3 smart modes make it easy to customize settings based on what i need - like sleep mode for quiet nights. i really appreciate the dual drainage options, especially the continuous drainage feature, no more emptying tanks all the time. the compact design and wheels are super convenient for moving it around. it's worked great for keeping my space feeling fresher and more comfortable. one thing they could improve is maybe making the water tank a bit larger, but just elevate it and have it drain into a bucket. its easier to dump the bucket itself.

I originally ordered a 2000 sq ft model and it required me to empty the water tank every 4 hours and would not get the humidity below 72%. So, I returned and purchased this 4500 sq ft model and it reduced the humidity to below 55%. However I wanted to use the drain hose instead of the tank. The hose that came with the unit was too short, flimsy and would not carry the water to the floor drain if any part of the hose was elevated more the 2 inches. Amazon offers a 12mm x 16mm 10 ft hose that carries more water flow and will lay flat on the floor and drain into the floor drain. I inserted a brass 1/2" elbow so I didn't have to elevate the hose above the floor and it works great. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PTX89GY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) This unit drains 3 gallon a day and I don't have to empty a tank!!! Cons. There is no tank water level window. The instruction manual is a joke. The drip tube supplied is very poor and the tube ribs trap water. A 12mm id x 5 ft. hose ( see link) would be much better. It does dehumidify the apartment and with the tube addition it's FINE!!

We have purchased two of these dehumidifiers over the past few years. We set them up to continuously drain so we don't have to empty the tanks, therefore they run almost non-stop. We clean the filters as recommended. They work great for about a year and then just stop pulling water from the air. The motor, indicator lights, and readouts still work fine, it just doesn't lower the humidity anymore. If you are looking for something for just a year, these are a great buy.

I have used this in the finished basement for several years and it has been GREAT. There is an auto feature to come on based on your humidity setting, with an auto shut off ince the water tank gets full. . as well as a water drain hose if you don't want to deal with emptying it - which is very convenient. I have had this almost 3 years and it still works perfectly. This is made great and also on caster wheels for easy maneuvering around. Thisbhas made a huge difference in the air quality ans comfortability in our space!
