This backpack cooler truly has it all! It’s well-made, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. The numerous pockets throughout make it easy to organize everything, and the roomy interior holds plenty of items to keep cold for a full day. We’ve consistently found it keeps our food and drinks cold for 8 to 10 hours. After a year of frequent use at the beach, the lake, and on road trips, the zippers are still going strong. It’s lightweight and very comfortable to wear on your back. While I’ve seen some reviews mention leakage, we haven’t experienced that at all. I was a bit dubious about this actually working, but it really did remain leak-proof. The exterior bottom of the cooler bag gets cold, but not wet. I am not a tall person or strong person, so putting it on when it was full was a bit of a challenge - I had to put it on a table and put it on from there. The chest connector at first seemed to strangle me but once I adjusted it, it was actually very comfortable. I usually use frozen water bottles instead of ice, and I was impressed at how long the water bottles stayed frozen. They were still mostly frozen 8 hours later, and I had to take them out of the bag to thaw out. I didn't have it in full sun, so that likely helped. But it was still impressive. I put baby wipes and napkins in the top zipper portion, and opening the main compartment with the baby wipes made the top kind of flop hard but it held on. I do wish that the handles on the side were more like the handle in the back (between the shoulder straps - hard to see in the pictures), with the grip. When full, carrying it by the back handle is not feasible for me and the side handles are not as comfortable. I put a fleece throw blanket on the top under the bungee rope and it held perfectly. I was able to pack 6 frozen water bottles, 6 not-frozen water bottles, 6 - 8 capri suns, and sandwiches for 4 people in the main compartment. My friend wants the Yeti backpack and I'm way too frugal to spend that kind of money. After using the Hulongo bag multiple times, I am very happy with the value of my purchase. We've even just put it in the trunk of the car with ice packs to keep drinking water cold so after shopping / running errands, we can still have a nice cold beverage. Have to be honest, though, probably wouldn't take it on long hikes because it would be too heavy for me personally to carry (because I can really load it up!). But short hikes or walks from the car to the picnic spot are perfectly reasonable. Or even leaving it in the car - it works just as well as my large cooler but doesn't take up as much space. I bought this for disaster relief volunteering in Jamaica. I have food allergies so I have to take all my own food everywhere. This plus a 4 pound Yeti ice keeps my food cold ALL DAY! The backpack aspect makes lugging around gobs of food easy. The pockets are well designed and let me store and easily find utensils, salt/pepper, etc. I love the top zipper to keep dry items like nuts and snacks. This backpack holds SO MUCH. The strength of the straps is outstanding. After loading the bag with all the drinks and food, the straps do not feel strained or weak. The insulated part of the bag is perfect and keeps the items inside cold for a long time in the heat.

Great cooler bag for the price. We have only used a few times for the beach and water park but it did great holding soda cans, sandwiches, ice packs, and chips in the drya area. Lots of great pocket to stash stuff. Back pack is nice to free up hands for other gear.

I got this to use for my daughter’s club volleyball so she can keep her food cold. While it did keep the food and her drinks cold I will say that after 9 hours it did leak around the zipper. But overall it lasted a long time and everything was cold!
