We have used this monitor for our son. The prospect of being able to use it both on phones via their app and on a handheld device was promising. Letting your babysitter watch your child sleep and you can view from afar too? Sounds great! The handheld device looks similar to an iphone in shape and size. You are able to scan through the song options and the images. We never used the songs, as they seemed unnecessary for a monitor (we solely use it to view our child, not play with it). The video was a little laggy when we moved it around, but would move to where we wanted it. Unfortunately, I NEVER got the app to work. I feel like I tried everything, short of contacting the company. This was probably the greatest perk on the monitor, but it failed. So that was disappointing. The video quality was pretty good. But the light on the actual monitor cast a light over my child while they slept. I am assuming that my son couldn't see it...but if it was on me the light that you can NOT turn off would be distracting. Also, we live in a smaller home so don't need to hear every noise, and our son is two. We have the sound turned to "off" and even with it being off, you can still hear a buzzing noise that will not go away. Quite annoying. Overall, this monitor has a lot of pluses, but things that were important to us fell short and the extras that did work were things that were unnecessary to us. ... show more

    • A Really Decent Monitor With A Lot of Great Features
Style: 1-Camera
We’ve had this monitor for a few weeks now and we like it a lot! It is jam-packed with features, almost to the point of some of them being unnecessary, and I haven’t even tried them all yet. The picture and audio are very good quality and I like that the field of view is nice and wide. I thought the addition of the bumper was smart for those with hard floors (our last monitor’s parent unit broke after being dropped too many times). The included mount was pretty easy to use as well. The UI and touchscreen could use a little bit of improvement, but I think the issue is more that it isn’t intuitive, rather than not being responsive. My very tech-savvy husband hated the touchscreen until I showed him specific things like how you have to swipe down just on the menu to get out of the menu or you swipe, not tap, on the arrow to go to the next page of the menu. Once he figured those few things out, his opinion changed for the better. I think if it was more intuitive, that would bump the rating to 5 stars. The included games are cute and my 4 year old likes them even though they aren’t much use for my baby. They are a little buggy but that’s not the main point of the monitor so it doesn’t really bother me. I haven’t been able to pair the monitor with my phone yet but that was my fault for downloading the wrong app. I think once I can get it paired, the WiFi connection will be useful for when we leave he kids with a sitter. I’m otherwise hesitant to have the monitor on WiFi so I like the addition of the privacy screen as well. Overall, This monitor exceeded my expectations, especially after reading the other reviews. Absolute junk. Feels cheaply made right out of the box, connection issues/ software make it totally useless. Not to mention zero customer support- go ahead and try to contact them before you buy! If you get through tell them I want my money back.

    • All in one baby monitor

This baby monitor is like the Renaissance man of baby monitors. It does a lot of things! I haven't even explored all of its functionalities yet, but here are my favorite aspects so far: 1. You can use it without wifi in your home. I really like this, because I'm nervous about hackers accessing the camera. We have a relatively small home, but the signal was fine when the camera was up in the nursery and we were downstairs. 2. If you want, you can also download the app to your phone and access the camera via wifi. It's really useful to have both wifi-based and wifi-free options. The app can also push notifications on your phone when sounds or motion are detected. 3. It's great to have a portable camera that can be temporarily mounted on a curtain rod or the top of a door using the flexible stand. I like being able to move the camera between the nursery and the living room depending on where the baby is. 4. The app also has trackers for feeds, wet diapers, sleep, etc. that are easy to use. The music and audiobooks loaded for playing over the camera seem cute, though I haven't really used them since whenever I use the monitor the baby is sleeping. Some of these features, along with the pre-loaded games/videos on the parent unit would probably be more useful for older kids. Cons: 1. There is an ad that shows up whenever the parent unit is powered on that you have to click out of. I expect ads with a free product, but not something that I've paid for, and I don't like that it delays me if I'm trying to see what's going on with my child. 2. The charge on the parent unit doesn't seem to last very long, so I've just been keeping it plugged in most of the time when I use it. 3. The video quality isn't that great, although it's definitely sufficient to monitor the baby. All in all, it's a baby monitor that does what it needs to do with a lot of added bonuses! ... show more
