These brackets space the solar panel about 1/2 inch higher off of the mounting surface compared to brackets from some other well-known companies. This is not really a problem if you are only installing one panel, but for multi panel installations it will look a little awkward.

Size: Z Bracket
Most solar panel mounting slots are big enough for the heads of these bolts to slip through. You need to add flat washers under the bolt heads to prevent this, and this kit doesn't include them (most others do). So that's disappointing, but otherwise it works fine.

Nice solid feeling mounts... I like the dual anchoring holes in the base... comes 8 with self drilling lags, and 4 bolt/nut/washer sets for bolting to solar panel... Use to mount solar panels flat to a utility trailer roof. I did use 1/4-20 bolts instead of the included lag bolts to anchor through trailer roof, but that was just a personal preference. I believe these are going to last for a while! Currently these are holding 40 watt panels. Happy with this purchase! ... show more

Simple and strong... BUT... Use a better soft rubber washer than the hard plastic ones that come n the box. Also... I swapped the Self tapping screws for 6mm nuts and bolts. The screws didn't have enough bite. Caulk around the holes ya drill too.

Very nice smooth finished brackets. I ordered 2 sets as I am in windy desert so I use 6 on a 59x39in panel. Not trusting the 1 bolt to frame I drill it up and use 3 bolts. Got here fast...just fine. Using with a Somnali Solar 200 watt and HQST 30 amp controller. I tape over the plate and mounting bolts with Reflectix aluminum tape. Nice lookin brackets now taped ... show more

I ordered two packages and ONE package was missing the lock washers. I did NOT request a refund or replacement. These brackets FIT the HQST, Renogy 100D and 100N (slim line for sure). I would imagine they MAY fit the Grape Solar version too. Made of aluminum and stainless hardware and should provide years of service. ... show more

Hardware is non-magnetic, so I am assuming stainless steel. Brackets are nicely fabricated and finished. I am very impressed by the quality (especially for the price of them)

    • Work great, easy to use, cheap and they hold up.

I've used these on 20, 50 and100 watt panels from different vendors and they work great. They come with bolts nuts and lock washers as well as mounting screws. I've never used the supplied mounting screws but they look to be fine. Mine look good after several years in the elements.
