The media could not be loaded. Going off of the description and seeing that it was nano coated for longer life I purchased it. Used bits is not what I wanted. it was not as described. love these mills.... cut very clean.... even in some really hard maple even at faster speeds than I anticipated.... good heat dissipation, no burning yet.... great value at this price, as the quality of the bits are superb vs. others I have used.... 4.5 stars, recommended....

    • Micrograin solid carbide is very brittle but will last a long time.
You don't want these bits rattling around in your tool box possibly colliding with a carbide tip router bit. That trade-off has huge advantages in how long it will last. Brittle yes, true clean cuts yes. Downward spiral bits (as opposed to upward spiral bits) will leave a very clean cut at the top of the workpiece, but may leave a rougher finish on the bottom. They are advantageous in creating shallow dado, or rabbits because of how clean the finish it gives on the exposed edge. These are 1/4" bits so they fit in a standard router, and yes as well as in a CNC machine, something I have long aspired to. I have a toolbox draw of top named routers, but my CNC dream has to wait. Overall, these are a nice set and should please you in their performance. They are well made. ... show more
