The HP Omen laptop is performing exceptionally well. This replaces an HP Envy laptop which bogged down at most jobs. Now on the Omen all my tasks are much easier to get through. Blazing fast speed.     • It's a good computer
I've had it for 2 and a half months. It's a screamer. It does everything well. This is the second omen 16 inch laptop i have owned and the quality is top notch in my opinion. They can take a beating. One thing, don't undervoltage the CPU. In the Omen gaming software, you can do things like set each games graphics, etc, and min/max the the fans. I tried the undervoltage thing and thought I had bricked the computer for a moment. I had to reboot and go into the bios to change the voltage back. There wasn't an option for that, but there was an option to reset all parameters back to factory settings, and that fixed it. So, the only problem i had is one that I created. (They should really warn you bout that, though. It looks like a silly little option, that increases computing power.) I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Important Disclosure About Refurbished Components and Warranty Support
Important information about this laptop was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I later discovered the device had been refurbished using non-HP parts. When the RAM failed within the 6-month warranty period, HP declined to repair it, stating they do not service systems containing non-HP components. This effectively rendered the manufacturer’s warranty unusable. Fortunately, I had purchased an Asurion extended warranty, which resolved the issue quickly and without hassle. Prospective buyers should be aware that refurbished systems containing third-party components may not be supported by the manufacturer—even when still under warranty. I strongly recommend purchasing third-party protection for expensive electronics to avoid an otherwise costly outcome. ... show more

The computer will randomly crash every once in a while. I do not do any gaming but do run some high-demand business applications—nothing this thing should not be able to handle. Furthermore, the Bluetooth completely stopped working. I tried everything to fix it. Ultimately, I had to buy a Bluetooth adapter. Other than these issues, the laptop is good, but I would not buy it again. ... show more
