This laptop is outstanding. It performs brilliantly with almost every game. I tried Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding in High Quality with no frame drop. Fans get noisy but not annoying. I absolutely love this laptop. I play the Sims religiously and got this as a replacement for a HP Pavilion that had a video card error. So far (about 2 months old), this computer outperforms any other pc I’ve had. I know a lot of gamers will say the specs aren’t that great… they are. Don’t worry.     • UPDATE BAD: Good CAD & video editing laptop BUT!

READ THE BOTTOM: 5 Stars so you will see my review on the 1st page. It's a 3 star review. I don't play games at all so I can't tell you if it does that well or not, but I do use Fusion 360 CAD software and Davinci Resolve and edit 2.7k Gopro videos. It works well for that. I did upgrade the RAM from the 8gb it came with to 32gb and so far, not a studder on anything. Chrome & Windows take up most of the 8gb of RAM by themselves. A BIG downside to this laptop and an impressively stupid decision by HP in my opinion was to make the motherboard capable of using 2 m.2 SSDs, but not soldering on the socket for the 2nd SSD to plug into. The board is even labeled "SSD 2" where the 2nd one should go. So you only get 1 SSD and most people will probably end up wanting an upgrade on the size. These days 512gb can fill up fast. Especially if you're doing video work or downloading games. The 16 inch version of this laptop does have the ability to have 2 SSD's installed at the same time. Update: I will never buy this piece of junk brand again. I love putting this laptop in my bag with 90% battery only to pull it out of the bag later, feeling how hot it is and seeing it has 9% battery. Because closing the lid does not always put the computer to sleep. It crashing constantly is another fun feature of this laptop. GO FIND A BETTER LAPTOP. This genuinely the blandest most okay-ist laptop. Build quality is pretty good, it’s made of plastic but still feels good to the touch. The keys feel dated and wonky, the layout I’m not used to but it’s okay, the resolution/screen is okay. The biggest downfall of this laptop is the 3050Ti. 4g of vram is pretty low and leaves a lot of performance on the table everything else is honestly solid. If you genuinely just want a low/mid setting laptop then this is it. It’s a backlit keyboard so don’t expect it to be customizable white is your only option, games in general will run on low or medium settings with exceptions like overwatch being able to run on high/ultra. Even warzone runs good with low settings. It’s pretty okay but after a week of owning one I’m already looking to upgrade. ... show more
