It's almost 3 yrs old and the hinges broke. It's for home use so I don't open/close it that much in a days time. I guessed it would last longer. Now I have to leave it open and prop the screen up in anticipation of the screen falling off.

Others have stated that the laptop didn't come with Windows 11. During the setup, it surely did load the OS. With the exception of learning the new OS's manners, this Laptop is worth every nickle. It's quite fast and the video and audio are just right. You won't be sorry about this one. This is my fourth laptop and it wins everything.

The graphics on Windows 11 are beautiful. The format of this computer is exceptional the way it gets you acquainted with Windows 11. It took all of my old files and placed them right where I can see them and get them easily good job HP.

Let me start off by saying I truly dislike HP consumer products. Everything from HP I've bought in the past broke within weeks of the warranty period, so I've avoided them for the last three or four years. However, I needed a new laptop for my DJing, so it needed great performance, a big screen, and plenty of fast storage. I was blown away by how much cheaper this laptop was compared to anything comparable elsewhere. I decided to give HP one more shot... and I'm certainly glad I did. This lappy has it all - it's fast, good looking, the big screen is amazing, the variable brightness keyboard backlighting is perfect, and there's enough room on the 1TB SSD to hold all my music. Even installing and configuring Windows 11 was a piece of cake (once I deleted all the junk that HP and Microsoft decided I wanted - lol).

Advertised as "In stock" but a two day delivery?? Day after I ordered it, received a "5 day delivery delay"...For an "in stock item? Later, delay changed to 2 days. It finally arrives. Looks good but cant get on internet which means that it wouldn't allow setup. Internet was working fine for all other devices. Tried and tried but all it would do is turn on, nothing more. Finally gave up and took it to a repair shop. A hundred bucks later *for an almost $800 computer) the problem was resolved. It would now allow sign on to internet and then allow setup. Computer repair stated that he had to do some work on it and reinstall a driver and tweak it to get it to come alive. I had expected that a NEW computer would have been checked out by whomever "built it" and that it would be ready to go out of the box. Not so. Very disappointed especially as I had to pay to get it working as it was supposed to. Good computer but I would advise buying from another seller. I was about to send it back but didn't want to have to wait again for another machine, thus I had to get help getting it up and running. So now I have a $900 dollar computer. P.O.'ed? You bet. Two months later now with a revised review. Laptop quit working. It would come on and show MS picture of the day and when any key was touched, the screen went black. Wound up back in the shop. IT guy couldn't get it running as he said it had been encrypted with a 30 or so digit code. It would not recognize the hard drive or any other hard drive. Totally inop and not repairable. Another 150 bucks down the drain. Sent it back to Amazon. Would revise to no star if I could. Now I'm in for over a thousand bucks and no computer.

So far I am very happy with this laptop. I was a bit nervous with having the upgraded RAM and hard drive done by a reseller, but so far it is working well. The upgraded RAM and hard drive are well worth the additional cost. I did have to "dispute" the warranty date, but it was pretty easy on the HP site. Just had to forward them the Amazon invoice and they set the warranty expiration date for 1 year after I ordered on Amazon. I also purchased an extended service contract direct from HP for half the price the Amazon vendor charges. A great laptop at a very reasonable price. Slim, fairly lightweight and plenty powerful for what I need at home.

This was a replacement for an aging Dell laptop for my computer-challenged father in law. This laptop does everything he needs and then some. The only issue noted was the lettering on the nice, large keyboard...it's so light that us old farts need to turn on a lamp to see the imprinted characters...had to darken them with a sharpie!
