The package had all the parts and tools you needed for the installation. It could've done better with an illustrated manual. But if you have searched for this product somewhere else, you probably have watched the instruction video already. If you don't or are just a newbie like me, go to Aliespress, and search the keyword "digital lock" You can find a tutorial video under the same product listing. By the way, it is about $3 cheaper at the other commercial website, but Amazon is the fastest. Make your own decision. Good luck!

Being a bit of a techy and thinking that having a draw that locked/unlocked with a card would be a fun novelty I figured i'd give this a whirl on my night stand table and I think it works fairly well. The lock itself can probably broken into fairly easily (it's made of plastic) so I'm not sure how much security it really adds so I'd say it's more of a tamper resistant lock but overall it does the trick. Installation was a little harder than imagined and i'm happy there were some videos on this site to help me figure it out or I'm not sure I would have put in the effort to get it to work. Once I watched the video a few times install wasn't too bad as all the necessary hardware and templates are provided. Overall I'm happy with the product and since i'm not locking up anything too valuable i'm not too concerned with the potential lack of "real" security. With that said, what I might try to do eventually is build a box to hide valuables in and then hide that in a fakey wall vent or wall trim and then use this lock to secure and lock that hidden drawer in place.

I hesitated to buy from this seller after reading the reviews. I decided to give it a try anyway. It took me a while to figure out how to put the lock in place with the instructions provided. The lock works perfectly fine for me. I wish there’s a video of demonstration, just to save us time!

Difficult to install

Installed it in July in a Kallax Ikea 4 cube and door. A lot of adjusting to get it to connect correctly. Stuck it down and could not get to connect using the template and ended up breaking the tip off of a Calphalon knife. Finally got it working and all set and programmed. Now it is Early February and we hear beeping. Figure out it is the door. Try and open it with the card and it just beeps. It will not open and just continues to beep. I have to pull the shelf out and have to tear open to back of the enclosure to get to the lock and change the batteries. So the enclosure is totally ruined. I am glad it was a cheap Ikea door and not an expensive piece of furniture.

This lock came with 2 mini RFID tags and 1 RFID card. All appear to be a MIFARE classic 1K which operates at 13.56 MHz. They are a step up from the vulnerable 125 KHz RFID implementation but still not enough to offer real security. So don't be using this to lock your sensitive stuff, this lock is more of a novelty item than a real lock. There were no instructions in the package apart from a template to help with installation. The template is actually very useful as this lock needs to be mounted precisely for it to work and latch properly. You have to fill in the blanks and figure out how all parts fit together. The lock comes with a cheap pre-cut double sided tape to mount both lock and latch. I'd recommend using those first to figure out proper positioning and alignment before drilling anything. Only one of the 3 tags actuated the lock, the other 2 just cause it to beep. I'd guess the white card is possibly a master tag that allows registering more tags, but with the lack of instructions I can't tell for sure nor can I program additional tags to the lock. The lock operated on 4 AAA batteries, which I'd assume If they die the lock would set itself to open position to allow you access to the battery compartment and replace them. There's also a wire sticking out with what appears a mini headphone jack at its end. I presume that's a bypass to momentarily or permanently power the lock. However, there are 2 major issues with that: 1- there is no cable with such rare connector included in the package 2- Even if there was one, how is it supposed to bring power to the lock while it is inside what it is supposed to lock?!! 2 stars
