Aventis Systems shipped this server swiftly and the individual components, memory, disks and computer look like quality components. HPE on the other hand fell down on this one. I have not been able to get the OS to see any of the logical disks that I created. After talking with a professional IT guy who also scratched his head, I contacted HPE. So far they have had me go through the basic setup I already did and low and behold it still does not allow me to load Server 2019. Server install does not see any hard disks to install on. I have been so disappointed in this company. First the server arrived late. It arrived without the microsoft license. About 2 weeks later, the license did arrive in a form of a CD, only to find that it doesn't work. I had to spend time with Microsoft directly multiple times for them to figure out that it was the wrong license. I had to contact this company and send it back before they sent another one. Another disc finally came weeks later. Then, again it doesn't work. Now, they want me to send it back again before they send another one. This is a complete waste of my time. Absolutely ridiculous. Unit was very clean - but had a slight smell. Could be the refurbished drives with fake stickers on them. Found the model of HDDs on New Egg and customers complained they drives age went all the way back to 2010. (It's 2022 at the time of this writing). No problem if this is disclosed up front - but this made me lose trust in buying HPE on Amazon. Could have bought without drives for cheaper directly from HPE with a 3-year warranty. ... show more

We use this item in a small law office as a shared drive. It works well and is compact so it fits out of the way easily. It is a fast unit and has no problem handling fairly heavy software.

Nice little server, works great. I have SQL installed and it runs smoothly, no issues. I don't use it as a file server, nor a print server. Just as an ADP server running SQL.

Update. Purchased this product for $2415.74. Returned it because sent with less RAM than stated, no COA for the operating system and several crashes/freeze ups which was not resolved with customer support. Incredulously, they have charged a $434.83 "restocking fee". Will be reaching out to the BBB, etc this week. ... show more
