Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviews highlight a mixed reception for the HP LaserJet printer, with users praising its compact size, ease of setup, and efficient printing for basic needs. However, issues such as poor quality in high-speed printing, potential overheating, and compatibility problems for specific uses like government offices make the experience varied. The device's design is generally seen as a positive, though its ink and paper handling have drawn criticism.

Pros

  • 🌟 Compact and space-saving design
  • 📲 Easy to set up and connect to devices
  • 🚀 Fast and crisp laser printing for occasional use
  • 💡 No need for HP software with USB connection; non-HP toner can be used

Cons

  • 🔻 Print quality not excellent at high speeds
  • 🌡️ Potential overheating when printing more than 5 pages
  • 📄 Paper tray design leads to dust accumulation and space issues
  • ❌ Not suitable for environments unable to connect to Wi-Fi or download apps

Should I Buy It?

If you need a compact, hassle-free printer for basic or occasional printing needs, this HP LaserJet could be a fit, especially if you plan to use it with a USB connection and don't mind foregoing color prints. However, if quality, high-volume printing, or specific software compatibility is crucial, you might want to consider other options.

  • Works Well & ❤️ Space Saving Design
I carefully read the instructions and set this up in minutes. It connected to my phone, my tablet and the internet effortlessly. Printing is fast. With that said, printing is not of excellent quality but it does the trick! I would recommend this to anyone needing a space saving laser printer.

  • Negative 1 Buyer Beware
This printer is just a piece of plastic junk. Today makes just over a week without a printer. After 4 days or doing everything I was told to do in troubleshooting, I gave up and called HP. It may be covered on the warranty, but let me be the first one to tell you or maybe the 1 millionth person to tell you HP Customer Service is nonexistent. You will literally go in circles over and over and over chat is a waste of your time. You will be entering the same information and being sent in circles and ask the same question 1 billion times I promise you if you pay a dollar for this 30, 50 or 100 is still gonna be a piece of junk. The so-called feature of these newer HP LaserJet printers where they supposed to automatically correct and connect. Stay connected to the Internet is a piece of hog wire. They know it the agents know it and the company know it when you contact them and you actually get a human on the phone you have to be on the phone for hours and days on the end before they will connect you to a supervisor or manager like me. They so-called escalated my call and that so-called manager pretty much wasted my time and another four days Here I am clients waiting. I cannot complete my work. I’m having to attempt to write down everything which is not working because it’s a ton of massive amount of stuff to write down in my business. Finally, I told him I did not want the same printer they refused my request and they are sending me a replacement that will take the entire weekend till Tuesday to get here. They charge my card for one dollar And told me that I can return the faulty printer, but it is not considered received until it is at their company not at the carrier so even if you send it to them through the carrier if something happens, guess what you’re still responsible . In addition, of course, it’s too late to return to Amazon. I wish I had never chose Hewlett-Packard printers. I wish I had went with the reviews and went with a totally different company. They are not customer focus customer friendly, and they do not adhere to the warranty. He told me that this printer would have to be replaced a full two times before they will even consider maybe sending a refund pretty much I’m out of the money I spent. ... show more

  • BAD for local government use
I ordered two of these for my local government's office. As government, we cannot be connected to WIFI, we cannot download apps, we cannot be on an auto-order subscription, we cannot use our personal phones to finish setting up the device. I read the product description and thought I could work around these issues. Not so. I am returning both printers with only ~5 pages printed on each. ... show more

  • Awesome little printer
I print very little and that means I face issues when I try to print suddenly after weeks. I recently had the Brother printer that does scanning, printing and everything else. When not using it or keeping it unplugged regularly the inks go bad so I found out about this laser printer and since it uses "dry" ink I don't have to worry about the ink getting bad even if i don't use it often. I don't need color printing and use scan apps on my phone when needed...honestly how many home users actually prints color? so this is ok for me. I love the fact that how small it is compared to the traditional brother printer I have. Only drawback is the paper tray which does take up space and I would prefer not to have the paper collecting dust since they will not be in an enclosed tray. Since I don't use the printer often i just put the tray back up and not have the paper on it. This avoid having to print on dusty paper that has been seating on the tray for long time and save the space. Overall, I'm very happy with overall setup and FAST and CRISP printing AND I no longer have to worry about liquid ink going bad! PRO : SMALL SIZE. FAST CRSIP LASER PRINT, EASY WIRELESS PRINT, INK WILL BE GOOD EVEN IF USED OCCASIONALY CON: No color print, No Scan, Paper Tray design ... show more

  • Home printer
"In terms of its price, this printer is good; however, its printing speed is somewhat slow. Additionally, when printing more than 5 pages, it tends to overheat, leading to smoke rising from the paper. Nevertheless, after numerous tests, I have not encountered any defects or malfunctions. Its design is simple, and it is reasonably priced. It was delivered promptly and free of charge. I would recommend it solely for basic homework and student printing needs at home." ... show more

  • Great little printer, but use wired USB connection not WIFI
This is a great small laser printer, but its HP software (which you don't need) is hard to set up and locks you in to expensive HP brand toner cartridges. My OS, Windows 11, has a fine printer driver for this built in, so it works just fine if you simply connect to your PC with a USB printer cable. You'll have to buy a $7 printer cable, and peel off the tape HP uses to cover the USB port. You set the printer up using the OS Printer Setup, and it just works. Simple, no? That way you don't need HP's special software, which rewrites the printer firmware to only accept expensive HP brand toner cartridges and is hard to install and maintain. ... show more
