This laptop is at the low end of HP laptops, but you surely can't tell from the way it looks, feels or works. I love having the very accurate fingerprint reader; it's my first with that option. The screen is clean and sharp, the Intel i7 chip has plenty of power. The battery holds up well. The 1 TB SSD is fast and silent. This replaces an older HP 17-inch Envy, which is higher up the chart of HP laptops, but I can't tell how it was any better. This one is lighter, faster, and the screen is just as good. This is also quite a bit lighter. The only issue I have with this is the silver keys are hard to see what's what if you aren't a touch typist. Luckily, I have been a touch typist for decades, but I can see where this could be a problem for some users. ... show more

Bought this laptop to replace the desktop computer I used in my office. It does absolutely everything the desktop did, but is much faster, more convenient and portable. The display has great definition, and is large enough to save me from eye strain. Very pleased with this computer.

Love this computer. Great speed for my CAD programs and photoshop. Light weight for kids screen size. Could use more usb ports but I plugged in a port extender. Added a case for added protection. Windows 11 will take time to get used to but if you can't find the the settings you're looking for you can just search. Handles android apps like a champ one configured. The graphics settings and gaming features are perfect for beginner gamers. Anything hard core will need a more robust graphics card. Graphics hanles up to 3 monitors. I bought a Plugable 4 monitor hdmi graphics adapter and run my 4 monitors that way. ... show more

I bought this computer for my 94yo father. Just over the one year anniversary of the purchase, he got an error message that the SSD hard drive had failed. When he called support, (and transferred to 3 different persons) they were adamant that the warranty expired exactly one year after purchase and offered no other solutions for him. I'm loving this new laptop. It combines everything I need into one unit. It's actually a bit like taking my desktop everywhere! At over 17 inches and a TB of space, I can do anything I need to on this computer. PLUS it's fast! No downside at all, except I had to buy a new laptop case. :)
