Came delivered brand new. When it was working for all of an hour, performance was outstanding for my use case. However, after restarting a few times, system now consistently beeps 3 times, then 2 times, and never boots up, even after standard troubleshooting (e.g. hard reset, clear CMOS, etc.). Clear cut motherboard failure. Upon contacting HP for a warranty event, they advised first that as per support.hp.com this system was warrantied for only 8GB (came with 64GB) and due to this retroactively invalidated the warranty, and advised my only recourse was to contact Amazon.com. When I couldn't actually find that anywhere on the site and asked for the URL validating any of this, they changed their story to this information is only available from an internal tool, refused providing any further evidence, and doubled down on wrong. I've purchased 2 other HP devices before, and once within the warranty period the board fried and was replaced under a warranty event. However, I am returning this for a full refund, already bought a Dell as replacement (fingers crossed) and would avoid HP going forward given their laughably ridiculous, and surprise retroactive warranty invalidation (who does this?!). ... show more
