I am a second-year college student and needed an upgrade from my slow 4 GB RAM laptop. I think it is a great laptop so far, with 16 GB RAM, and there haven't been any lags. But my screen went white out a couple of times within one week, not sure what that issue is from. I also have a problem with the cursor; it goes completely white when hovered over certain things. Those are just a few minor issues that I'm okay with. Battery life is good, about 10 hours with just schoolwork. I love the thin sleek look, it is a little heavy tho, which is fine. The keys are a little hard to press compared to my previous laptop. I love the touchscreen, and the colors are vibrant and great! It flips into a tablet easily, and I love it! It does have a backlit keyboard, a camera cover slider, Bluetooth, wifi. It has a magnet on the side if you want to get a pen and keep it next to your laptop. I’ve had this laptop for almost a year and I love it! Battery life is still excellent. The touch screen is still responsive and smooth, even after my daughter dropped it on its face 🫢. I originally bought it to play SIMS 4 with all add-ons, mods and CC and have had NO ISSUES with lag on the game. I have now expanded the use of it since my other laptop broke and I can play Sims with all the works, browse the web, have many apps and screens open and running concurrently with NO ISSUES. Also, the charger is very strong and durable so that’s a HUGE plus. I definitely recommend this laptop 10/10. It’s the perfect size for me as 14” keeps it light and easy to travel with. **Very disappointed — laptop stopped working after only two weeks** I purchased this HP Envy laptop expecting a reliable computer from a well-known brand. Unfortunately, after only about two weeks of normal use, the laptop suddenly stopped turning on. I tried the recommended troubleshooting and a hard reset, but it still would not work. I returned the exact laptop I received according to Amazon’s return instructions. Despite this, the seller later claimed that the wrong item had been returned and withheld a significant portion of my refund as a restocking fee. Amazon eventually issued only a partial refund, leaving me out over $100. The whole experience was extremely frustrating. A laptop that fails after such a short time is disappointing enough, but dealing with the return and refund dispute made it much worse. I used this laptop for exactly a month, and then the day after 1 month had passed it suddenly popped up with a blue screen with a sad face on it :(, said it couldn't work, then turned off. When it came back on, it said "Boot Device Not Found". I did some troubleshooting and it said "No hard drive installed". I followed the instructions on the HP website and from other technology experts, and none of it was able to diagnose or fix it. Previous to this I had problems with the screen going black and not coming back on when it timed out, and sometimes the "Start" pop-up and the Notifications/Calendar pop-up wouldn't actually pop up when I clicked on them. It would glitch out for about thirty seconds before I was finally able to actually click on it and view it. I hadn't thought too much of it until the day the laptop just shut down and then couldn't register the hard drive. I'm very disappointed by this product and the number of problems that I've already had with it. I was hoping to return it, but because the biggest problem occurred on the 31st day of it being in my possession, I wasn't able to return it to Amazon. ... show more
