I don't even need reading glasses for this screen. Lightning quick boot and auto upgrades to Windows 11. Only thing I don't like is the glare off the silver surface. ( I use it in a van). Makes it hard to see the keys. Great deal though. Highly recommend.

I should start by saying that I'm a Chromebook guy all the way. I don't like Windows and I generally don't like the products that run Windows. I also should say that I bought this computer as a certified refurbished product. I was looking for a Windows laptop for under $300 to preform specific functions for my schooling. (Some of the business world and the world of academia still hasn't made the shift away from Microsoft...Go figure.) All that being said, I will try to review this product fairly based on what it is, not on what I wish it were. As I said, I was looking for a functional Windows computer for under $300. This computer was being sold, certified refurbished, for $279. It came with a 90 warranty. It arrived on time, well packaged. It started up quickly and, after digging through my password notebook, I was able to get it up and running with all the updates in about 2 hours. This computer was touted as having a touchscreen, something that I hadn't originally gone looking for. The new ones come with an electronic stylus but this product, being used, didn't come with one. Normally, a used 2019 HP Pavilion x360 will cost at least $700 so I figured if it worked, I was getting quite a bargan, if not, Amazon has a return policy. Well, as I said, it worked fine upon startup but, after about a week, the touchscreen started malfunctioning. Little white dots started appearing and disappearing in a column near the center of the screen. Occasionally, one of the dots would hit something, a link or a button, and cause the computer to open a new window or navigate to a different screen, etc. It made it impossible to get anything done. I used my phone to research the problem and found out the the touchscreen was self activating. According to several websites, there were two options for a fix. First, I could replace the screen - cost, between $300 and $700, including parts and labor - or, second, I could disabled the touchscreen, an easy fix from the settings menu. I chose the second option. Now the computer works fun, if a little clunky. (It is a Windows computer after all.) The touch screen is disabled so it works like a regular laptop with a trackpad. It tends to heat up a bit but, in my experience, that's common for a Windows computer. Is it because the OS is crappy causing the computer to work harder than it should have to? I don't know. All I know is that neither my Chromebook nor my Chromebox get that hot and they start up faster, work faster, and I don't live in constant fear of the Blue Screen of Death with them. To sum up, if you absolutely must have a Windows computer, the Pavilion is an ok product; just don't expect the touchscreen to hold up as well as the screen on your phone. If, however, you don't absolutely need Windows, get a Chromebook. It's superior in almost every way and it's 1/3 the price of a Mac. As for the seller,....
