This computer runs very fast and flawlessly with 16GB RAM, and with only $24 for a 3 year extended warranty, cannot be beat for the price. It came in like new condition, was very easy and simple to set up. It automatically upgraded to Windows 11 very fast. HP is a very reliable brand. The smaller size is a plus. Let me say first that I took a star off because when they say it comes with Windows 10 Pro, it is not like you get a computer ready to go. What I mean by that is the unit is obviously purchased from a corporation which is why it is renewed. That didn't surprise me but as I powered up for the first time, it went through a few expected screens when first powering up a fresh install of Windows 10 but eventually I got to a screen where it was asking for an email address for the corporation the computer came from and if i didn't satisfy that part of the start-up, I could not proceed to even get to a desktop. Obviously, it was a custom image on the hard drive for that particular corporation. Fortunately, I have an IT background and I knew to get a Windows 10 .iso and download to a USB flashdrive in order to reload the operating system but if you didn't have that knowledge, it would definitely have been an uphill battle. In addition, I had to also retrieve some of the drivers because the NIC wasn't recognized by Windows 10 so I had no access to internet on the PC at first. Not a big deal but for those with less PC knowledge, it is something you need to consider before purchasing. The computer itself is every bit of what I expected. The processor is Intel i5 8th generation as they advertised and performs as well as expected. Actually, I would even say it performs a little better than expected when paired with 16GB of RAM and an SSD. It will definitely meet my needs which is for home office needs. The seller would have delivered earlier than the original estimate but the ice storms this past week prevented the on-time delivery - nothing against the seller. I don't even blame the shipping, it was just an unfortunate series of weather events. All things considered, I think I got a good bargain purchasing this machine and I believe I saved hundreds of dollars purchasing a decent renewed machine. ... show more

I feel for the price This is definitely a good value. Wasn't sure what to expect for a little over 200 bucks but figured I wouldn't be able to just plug it in and go. Case had a few scratches and dings on it but inside was clean and didn't see any mechanical issues. When I booted it tried to boot to some locked my digital space page and kept forcing me to sign into a corporate account. I created a bootable Windows 10 disk using the Windows 7 USB tool and a Windows 10 ISO I downloaded from Microsoft. Once I reinstalled Windows 10 the operating system automatically pulled the product key from the BIOS like it should and Windows 10 was up and active. Once Windows 10 was booted up I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 without any additional tinkering in the registry like I've had to do on some other machines. PC is up and running great using it as a daily driver and running a couple small VMs on it. Wanted to post a longer review and hopefully this helps anyone who gets one of these that boots to the My digital space page, if yours boots to that don't bother trying to log in just reinstall Windows 10 but make sure you wipe out all the previous partitions first. Again for the price definitely worth a five-star even though it took a little work to get up and running!! ... show more

The cooling shroud for the chip was lose and out of place, not to mention it was filthy. The picture of the back of the PC was wrong as it showed a nine pin moniter so I bought a adaptor from amazon to plug into my older 15 pin VGA plug to a nine pin. come to find that it had a 15 After all. Unexpectedly included displayport to hdmi adapter. Serial port included as well. System defaulted to VGA port on first boot. No optical drive. Hardware was cleaned well, a little sticker residue, but nothing unsanitary. NVME is kioxia kxg60znv256g with 13600 hours and 8.6 TB writes. Certainly not fresh, but a quick diskbench peaks 3.1 GB/s. Memory is 2 x 8 GB Samsung DDR4-2133 CL 15. I purchased a 2nd unit. It has an i5-8600. Did not come with keyboard, mouse, or displayport adapter. This unit did have a DVD-ROM, and DDR4-2666 memory. The nvme had been replaced with a new KingFast 256 GB. So who knows what you will get, and the price seems fairly volatile. Very happy overall. ... show more
