    • A good computer, with something to note.
I purchased this computer just over a month ago as a replacement for my previous Dell OptiPlex 790 SFF that I purchased refurbished in 2020. It arrived quickly, well-packaged, and has been running well since. It's very performant and quiet. My workload is primarily for programming, so this means a dozen (or more) Chrome tabs open, likely some music playing, Visual Studio Code, Windows Terminal, and Docker all running without a hitch. One thing to note. This computer (at least the one I received, from ProTech PC) comes with non-HP modifications. That is, the advertised amount of RAM and storage is because they upgraded those components themselves. My unit originally came from HP with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The additional sticks of RAM all appear to be genuine HP, but the SSD is from a company called "BiWin". Some cursory research on BiWin appears to show it is an okay brand, but like any brand, issues are possible. There are programs out there that you can use to check the health of your SSD. Just don't run them too often, as they do put unnecessary wear on the SSD. The above isn't necessarily bad; the unit is still new (mine appears to have arrived new from HP in September 2025). The only difference is that you might have non-HP components, which could make warranty claims a bit more complex. The seller told me they offer a 1-year warranty, but HP may cover their own components too, but I'm not certain. ... show more

I had the computer 65 days when the hard drive failed. The seller denied warranty even though they advertised a one year warranty. My computer is now being held hostage at Best Buy even thou I showed them proof of sale dated 12-01-25. Best Buy told me that I would have to pay for data retrieval, even if warranty was proven. Overall pleased with system performance, very disappointed in wrong/misleading description. Plainly says 2 x Display 1.4 ports in description. However, it has 1 displayport, 1 hdmi port.
