The media could not be loaded. My laptop was just delivered to me today and as soon as I opened up to turn it on, I was staring at a black screen. I notice when I toggled it up and down the screen kept blacking out then the screen started working as I moved the top part of the laptop the main screen was coming in and out. This is a great laptop! What a deal! It works fast, the battery life is good. I use this for surveys and email mostly. The screen isn't the best for watching movies, but it's not what I'm using it for. Just a nice little replacement to get me by. Honestly, this is as good as a brand new computer!

    • You can't use it for the only thing you probably bought it for: Studying.
This is one of those devices that will not open a book and let you perform basic studying/reading functions on it, while perfectly running YT and other streaming services. I just wanted it to be a glorified adobe reader machine, can't even do that. I am sure it runs spyware and algorithms tracking your every breath perfectly, most likely. But to be a "book", no no no, we will not be doing that anytime soon. Do me a favor if you're a student and just get a Think Pad or a Yoga or something. Because google is only interested in having you pay so that they can collect your information, but not even to perform the basic function for which you buy their devices. ... show more

I’m still trying to adjust to it because the computer that I used to work with was bigger and the keyboard is smaller on the chrome book. So far I am not having issues with it except that the keyboard is because of course it is smaller. Next time I need to check the size of the laptop or computer.

Our 6th grader needed a no frills "laptop" for her assignments at her new private school. They had school-issued ones in public school, but we need to buy one for private school (no prob). I read a few reviews for restored laptops on WMart dot com. They were mostly bad reviews about prpducts that arrived filthy, broken, scratched up, & in terrible shape. So, I decided to come to trusty ol AMZN to see what they had to offer on the "renewed/restored" list. I found this one & took a chance, since I could just get a refund if it arrived in terrible shape. I am so impressed!!!!!! We pulled this right out the box, plugged it up (charger included) and set it up. Clean, no scratches, in excellent (like new) condition. It is not touchscreen, which I knew, but this will do perfectly for my daughter. Full transparency, between 2020-2023 when she was doing digital learning at home due to the original COVID shutdown, she broke about 5 tablets/Chromebooks. She is rough on devices, so I was not thrilled about spending a lot on this school supply. So happy we found this listing. At this price point (under sixty bucks) I'm back today to buy 2 more (one for my 6 year old who wants "his own computer" & a backup for our rough 6th grader). Christmas is in the bag! ... show more
