I bought some generic ink cartridges for my hp printer and it was wasted money. They did not work. These do because they are hp.

Printer manufacturers have gotten wise and now if you don't order name brand cartridges, the printer won't recognize them. Name brands are ridiculously expensive which is why the printers themselves are so cheap. Fortunately we print very little so cartridges can last awhile. Haven't noticed much difference in regular and XL - though also haven't tracked it closely. ... show more

I canceled the Instant Ink HP service program, but when my billing period ended, my wireless HP 8025e stopped printing. I tried third-party knockoff printer cartridges advertised to work on this HP model. Nope—printer LCD readout reported genuine HP cartridges not installed. I bought both the HP 910XL Black High-yield and CMY Ink Cartridges as a set, installed, and now the printer works. I use my HP LaserJet most of the time, and it was not worth paying monthly dues for the HP service. Works well in my HP printer. I wish they were more affordable, but I’ve tried knock off brands and refills and they always seem to cause trouble. So I stick with the black and color OEM replacement ink cartridges by HP.
