This is the first time I bought a laptop rather than a desktop, and it seems to work perfectly fine. The battery drains just a little bit more quickly than I expected, but it charges up very quickly as well.

Order this computer in May 2025. By July 2025, it would automatically shut down and upon restart, require my BitLocker number. Hard drive problem and I was out of luck. The computer repair guy said he would never recommend buying an hp because that's all he ever repairs!

EDIT - Knocked two stars off - the keyboard is nearly impossible to read, the young designers had young eyes, LIGHT GRAY LETTERS ON GRAY KEYS do not work for older customers! Choose the Full HD 1920 x 1080 Display, not the 1600 x 900 display, the difference is amazing. I did not purchase the touch screen, my choice. BTW, no one on Earth knows what Alpacatech Accessories is... The laptop is up and running, easy install, no surprises. At this price point you get Windows 11 Home 'S', which severely limits it, but it is easily converted to full service by: Switch to regular Windows 11: press the "Start" button on the bottom left of the screen; select the "Settings" icon; select "System" and "Activation", then go to Store; select the "Get" option under "Switch out of S mode"; press Install.
