I bought this for school and am currently falling in love with it. The design is very sleek and simple. the touchpad is smooth and comfortable, doesn’t feeling like you’re dragging on it. The speed is AMAZING especially if you have an ethernet or better wifi than i do. the battery life is great so far but it’s only been a week so far and i’ve had to charge it 2-3 times as a full time student who works aswell. Almost identical to the laptop it replaced. It performs well. I bought the other one directly from HP and had it less than six years. In that time it went through a battery and a fan. The battery was losing power again, so rather than spending money on another battery, I bought this newer model. I added a cooling pad. I love the size of this laptop. It was easy to set up and since it is the same HP quality as my last one, it has been very easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the battery does not seem to last long. I should actually time it, but my last one would keep going through everything I needed to do at the time. This one seems to start to go dimmer in a lot shorter period and needs to be plugged in more often. That has led me to keeping it plugged in while in use. If you are able to do this, then I would recommend this laptop, but if you need to have it working on the go with no outlet nearby, make sure it is fully charged before you leave. UPDATE: If I could give it zero stars, I would. Had it for two months and I had to buy a new hard drive! The tech docs told me that HP put the cheapest one in this laptop, guaranteed to go bad soon after the window for return had ended. They said it was no surprise, and that they had seen this happen with HP. I will never buy an HP product again. ... show more
