    • Hoyle card games 2010
After playing with and enjoying an older version of Hoyle Card Games for several years, I purchased the 2010 version for my MAC. While it's colorful and the characters are cute I find the graphics inferior to my older version. The cards display smaller. The scorekeeping and record keeping is harder to determine. On Cribbage, the scoring pegs are so tiny it's hard to even find them. Overall, the games are still fun, but I enjoyed the old version better. ... show more

Do not buy 2010 edition (I only use it for Bridge, so I speak only for Bridge games). As other reviewers mention, the play is slow and the cards are unnecessarily small. 2010 doesn't seem to have the "Review previous trick" feature which I found useful. Also, it takes several screens now to get to the game you want. Every card does a somersault as it is plays - monotonous and it slows the play. No matter what adjustments I make, the card movement is still jerky, like a defective video. Really amateur programming. Buy the 2008 version - it is 5 star! ... show more

I've only played a few of the games , but it's slow and the players don't seem to know how to play. Been playing pitch for a long time, (real cards, not a computer game), and the players in this game would have been thrown out long ago and not invited back. Keep in mind there are 4 players includng yourself playing cutthroat pitch. As an example of anyone who knows the game, one of the computer players will bid with A,K, and 10 of trump, lead out with the Ace, never come back with the king, but instead cut it in later to get junk.
