  • Ok product.
It says in review big enough for goose eggs and that is not true. Would be fine for smaller eggs.

  • It works but
It does work. It keeps the eggs at a proper temperature and humidity. But that is all it does. The rest of the process is manual. When I got it, I filled it with fresh fertilized eggs. Started them off well with following the instructions. At least for the first few days but then I got busy and I didn't have time to turn the eggs and other stuff very often. Then the time frame passed and I was pretty sure it was not going to work. So I took the eggs outside just to check and see how far along they got. I cracked them open and everyone except for one had a chicken in it. But they were not fully developed and didn't make it to full term. Which was my fault because I didn't have the time to take care of them. So this will work for you. It's an inexpensive option if You have the time and the dedication to take care of the eggs. For me, a more automated system will work better. ... show more

  • Not bad with a few tweaks :)
I have had 4 of these for several years and actually really like them. I hatch small silkie eggs. Per someone’s suggestion I saved the styrofoam and fitted it to the dome for insulation, cutting a hole in it over the vent hole. My house humidity runs about 45-55% so I dry hatch since that ends up being 30-35%in the incubator. I used a heavy embroidery mesh to create a more stable hatching surface, removing the holder and inserting it on day 18. I tilt them instead of turning to never take the lid off until lockdown. I recommend for small hatches of little eggs! ... show more

  • Tiny Incubator Holds a Consistent Temperature For a Successful Hatch
This is a tiny incubator, but it does come up to heat and hold its temperature the way that an incubator should and will hatch out eggs with a little careful attention. Because this is plastic and uninsulated, it is important to remember that the incubator relies on a fairly stable ambient room temperature and should be kept out of drafts and, also, insulated if the room is especially cool. The eggs must be hand turned and appropriate number of times per day and the humidity levels should be monitored. The number of eggs that this will hold is going to vary vastly depending on the size of the eggs. While the egg tray has 7 wells, even some chicken eggs are too large to fit the full 7 in the incubator. This would fit, at most, one goose egg but maybe a dozen or so quail eggs. ... show more

  • Definitely not for 7 eggs or even 12 as stated in the description
Would definitely not use for 7 chicken eggs let alone 7 duck eggs. The description says up to 12 chicken eggs, which is laughable as there are 7 slots. I still wouldn’t do 7 as when the chickens hatch, there will absolutely be no room for anything. Unless they expect a really low hatch rate, I would probably only do 5 eggs in this. ... show more
