Beeswax burns with a clean flame, has an earthy, slightly sweet smell. Paraffin burns with a flame that leaves a lot of soot and has a more chemical or petroleum smell. What we got was paraffin, and even then a very low quality. DO NOT BUY THIS.

BUYER BEWARE! This is absolutely not real beeswax. I make and sell natural products. I used it to make body butter and it worked fine. However yesterday I spent all day making beeswax wraps to sell and they are not moldable!! I made them exactly like I did in the past so I know that I didn't do anything wrong. The folds look like plastic. It has to be the FAKE beeswax. I don't normally even leave reviews for things but this is ridiculous! I have wasted $200 worth of product and a whole day's worth of time and I am livid! It will melt and seemed to be real in body butter and things like that but it is absolutely not real! I was fooled by the other good reviews because I always check reviews first. Please don't make my same mistake!

I have never used beeswax that smelled like these pellets. They're awful, with a bitter, chemical odor. I'm hoping that odor is lost in my soap processing, but would never use it for a stay-on product like lotion. Yuck.

I do not know what this product is, but it is most definitely not beeswax. Paraffin? Soy? In attempting to make 2 lb of encaustic medium this afternoon (which I have made hundreds of times in the past 10 years), I just wasted my expensive resin, my afternoon, and my plan for making encaustic art tomorrow. It is cloudy in the liquid state and odorless. Now I have to waste more of my time to take this false product somewhere to return it. If your hunch is that the price is too good to be true, listen to your hunch. Don't make my mistake.

These are UNSCENTED! I LUV my beeswax! My husband and I BOTH use this! He is a woodworker and makes a homemade board butter w/ the beeswax! It’s used to condition the homemade cutting boards. I have been waxing my fabrics to make waterproof hand/computer bags. This product is GREAT!

I cannot fathom why anyone would rate this higher than one star. The product claims to be beeswax as well as organic. It smells and reeks of toxic chemicals. My guess is that it’s chemical laden paraffin at best. It doesn’t even slightly resemble beeswax, & would instantly triggers asthma & migraines in those whom are chemical sensitive. I would never consider using this in my candles or beauty products!!!
