I upgraded my regular bed to a King! Shipping came faster than I expected. Be careful the box is heavy. Now putting this bed together was another story. Please get help. Because sitting for that long is crazy took me almost 3 hours. Instructions are not very clear. Wish I could have paid for assembly. I decided to use the slacks that came with the bed. I also used a low profile box spring, to cover the gap from the headboard to mattress. The bed is not to high but it’s a decent high. I decided on a 12inch pillow top mattress as well. ... show more

I put 4 stars because it took FOREVER to assemble. I had to do it on my own. I recommend 2-3 people to assemble. The headboard was what took soo long. Mainly because some of the holes didn’t line up when trying to screw it together so I kind of Bootlegged it to make it work. Also some of the gold metal pieces were bent not allowing me to connect the pieces so I had to get some PLIERS TO UNBEND METAL. I was not about to send it back it’s an wast of money and too heavy. Very complicated assembly with pieces mismatching. Had few parts came in as scratched and dented. Too much effort to send them back so decided to suck it up. I installed it around my adjustable base so can’t say much about how durable or solid the base is. Look wise it’s good but i think the manufacturing wise it’s not good enough to have hole alignment being so tight and so difficult to put together. They should be shipping it in better packaging to avoid damages as any dent or scratch is very prominent on the kind of gold finish it is. I still liked the design, and that was the reason we bought it but wouldn’t recommend with the difficulty in assembly, holes alignment problems and damages in shipping. ... show more
