If you like real-life puzzles, I highly recommend building your bed frame from Amazon. The bed came in two shipments, which conveniently arrived on the same day. My fiancé and I spent an entire weekend building this bed frame literally from scratch. After several crash outs, we built this lovely bed frame that has tons of shelf storage. The drawers under the bed currently hold extra sheets and blankets, but maybe they could add more drawers under the bed. We have a memory foam mattress on top and there’s no problem with weight. My one (real) complaint is that almost everything fit together nicely EXCEPT the side boards of the frame, which is conveniently one of the last steps of assembly. We had to loosen the headboard and finagle some screws to get everything to fit. But overall, this bed frame deserves 5 stars. I was hesitant to get it myself, but after months of having this bed frame, it was worth the money and labor.

This bed is such a nice bed. My son absolutely loves how cool it looks and he enjoyed all of the extra storage and charging ports in provides. It took me, by myself, about four hours to assemble. I am a bit slower to assemble, so I wouldn’t use that as your main guesstimate as to how long it will take you. Here is what I noticed along the way: The directions are mostly very easy and straightforward to follow with only a couple of areas that I found hazy. I had to flip a couple of things along the way due to my mistake, but nothing that took too much time or frustration. The hardest part in assembling this while alone is lining up holes and pieces that go into those holes (seven in some cases) without having a second person to put pressure on the sides to make it more straight-forward. Most of the pieces are very thick, hard wood. I really love that quality in this piece. However, the back pieces to this headboard are flimsy and even have tape connecting the longer middle piece. Sometimes this weakness goes away after assembly, but it is still noticeable any time any minimal amount or pressure is applied to the back. That thinner back part also makes you have to be very careful during assembly of the top piece that secures everything else together. If this back piece were made of a thicker wood, even at sacrificing this bed being slightly thicker, it would make the whole bed quality and value go up. I love the way the barn sliding doors are secured and sturdy, but easy enough to move. I also love that the under neath drawers have a way of securely sitting on a screw, even though this is going to take my son some learning of how to pull it out and place it back in as it is not just a pull and push drawer due to the design to keep everything aligned and in place. The outlet works nicely and I love that it is included. My son will certainly put it to much use with the many things he owns that needs charting. I love the color (grey) that we ordered and how it looks distressed. I personally enjoy that this bed leaves no pace for sliding things underneath other than what is adored int he drawers, even if my son might prefer it otherwise; it keep the under the bed much more organized. Delivery: the entire unit came in one box. Each wooden piece came in its own plastic sleeve to help protect it from the other parts. The wood was also separated from the metal parts with styrofoam between the two elements. This seemed to keep everything protected and n order pretty nicely. This bed does not creak when my son gets onto it nor when any of us do. The assembly of it feels sturdy as you are putting it together (aside from those back pieces) and it feels sturdy once it is fully assembled. This is so much more secure than his last bed. The cons: I have reached out to the seller (just now) since I just receive dans assembled this today. I had a mixup of some screws and received too many of one while too few of another. I am awaiting the seller’s response. However, in the meantime, I have used the longer screw with the same circumference and simply did not screw in all the way (these are on the pull out drawers, so not pertinent to safety) until I can get this remedied. I have read in reviews that this seller is good about helping, so i am hoping for that same experience, but will update my findings. (UPDATE: The seller was very quick to respond and very helpful in solving my issue.) The bottom of the pull-out drawers beneath the bed are pictured to have a wooden base. This is inaccurate. These are med of metal wiring and have holes in bottoms. This is a quality cut from what is expected from what is purchased. Smaller things that a person/child may want to store there would simply fall through with what is received, while anything could be stored there (within size limitations) with what was expected. Overall, I love this bed. I highly recommend it and simply have one thing that I wish the seller would improve on: the three flimsy back panels of the headboard. While everything looks great as it is, if these were fixed, EVERYTHING would feel high quality and sturdy. I do worry about the longevity of those back pieces, especially when living with my 9 year old boy. This is the only real shortcoming of the quality of the product. Anything else (mixup of screws) can be remedied quite easily. Everything has its place and everything functions very well once assembled. We are very happy and hope this lasts us many years.

The bed is great. Very sturdy once assembled. Doesn’t creak, shift or slide. The foam pads in between the metal ensure a very quiet bed. Assembly instructions were not horribly difficult to follow but did take time and some finesse. Warning: Do not use power tools, this mdf is not meant for that pressure and it won’t end well. I had a near mishap early on, thankfully it wasn’t a vital error. Once assembled, the bed sleeps well. It is comfortable to sleep on as well as getting out of. The platform is not terribly low and with the mattress is about 26” high. I am a short person so someone taller may not find this as easy. Overall I am very happy with it. Would like to have matching nightstands though, the bookcase is behind the pillows and not as easily accessible as a nightstand would be. I do like the built in electrical/usb plugs though. That’s a definite plus.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a bummer- very disappointed. Now do we return the bed and deal with the hassle or have a wiggly headboard that isn’t functional? we have put together 40+ pieces of furniture from Amazon with the same exact hardware and assembly methods. Unfortunately, for this bed the male cam lock system does not tightly secure the shelves to the unit. Overall, the headboard shelving is going to be extremely unsteady. It feels we got the wrong hardware for something that we spent over $300 on. The male and female cams do not click into place as it should. We have had multiple people with experience try this and have concluded this is a failed system. In addition, the metal bed frame, the pre-drilled holes did not line up with the connecting pieces making assembly extremely difficult. Overall I do not recommend.

Bed took a couple hours to assemble and came in two boxes. The drawers at the bottom are practical but the rollers on the bottom get stuck and can be tedious to open. A little noise to the bed. Looks great for the price. Love the charging station and storage and we ordered a King and it’s very supportive. Get a mattress with at least 14-16” height to cover the space at the head board so you don’t lose your pillows. Overall it looks great and we love it! Love the barn door cabinet storage. We get lots of compliments on it.

I love how absolutely sturdy this bed is! Great for a Nectar hybrid mattress I have. A couple of things that I thought were not the greatest. - The barn doors are going to go, they rattle too much and that drives you crazy after a while - The statement that it takes two people two hours to put together, well that is a bit enthusiastic. It took two people almost 4 hours here in total if you count in verifying all parts, and setup. - It is a bit lower than it appears, pay attention to the actual dimensions, I failed to do so LOL, don't be an ME. The big plus on installation though is that the parts are numbered in the order they are used which makes it very much easier to put together. Overall excellent study bed, Working on a way to resolve the barn door thing. For now I have a piece of carboard on each to fill in the gap.
