The first time I tried signing into Google play the login screen would not open. I went back and double checked my downloads. They key is making sure you pick the right mirror for your device. Once I downloaded the correct Google play services the app worked and I was able to login

Things change at APKMirror. You need to find files with version 5.1 or whatever that are lower Android versions than are on your device. You know when they download as icons instead of datasheets. The Use the links in the book to simplify APK use. APK is not intuitive. After the search i clicked highest level of search to get all versions on one page. Click the 5.# version, get new page, scroll down, click named file version down the page a way. Next page select Download. Do that and it works. One star because I had to rewrite the book. Send me a hundred bucks, author, and i make it 5 stars. ... show more

It took me 4 1/2 hours and many false starts to get Google installed. I had to try things I thought might work, but was not in the book.
