I’ve tried various disposable shavers but continue to search for a suitably sharp blade. I began looking at scalpels (!) but thankfully I found this Flamingo blade. I’ve used it twice and felt compelled to give a review. The blade handle is very well built, sturdy, feels like real business. The replaceable blade was suitably sharp, removing the lightest of peach fuzz which is what I was seeking! It’s a safety blade which is good but I think stops it from giving even a closer shave. I have 6 replacement blades and will see how many shaves I get but am very pleased with this system to date. ... show more

I was a little nervous ordering this after reading some of the reviews but I'm glad I did. I have very sensitive skin so I did a little test area before using it on the rest of my face and no reaction at all. I have purchased some cheaper ones a few times from different stores and everyone of them caused my skin to get very red, irritated and super itchy. It was a nice surprise after using the Flamingo that none of those things happened. Now I will say all the warnings on other reviews about it being super sharp was correct, but as long as you aren't using a lot of pressure as well as holding it at the 30° angle you should be fine. I got all the annoying peach fuzz off my face especially around the sideburn area, lip and chin. I even cleaned up my eyebrow area since I haven't had the chance to get them waxed like I normally do. I'll definitely be ordering the refills as needed but I have a feeling it will be a while until I have to since they give you a few to start out with. Absolutely recommend this product! ... show more

I had originally purchased a name brand electric dermaplaing device and it stopped working within a few months. Stupidly, I purchased a second one, and sure enough, it quit within a few months as well. I decided to look for a manual alternative to help with the dry skin that seems to accumulate on my face due to my Hashimoto's disease. I came across the Flamingo, and it has been a game changer!! It is so easy to use, and is very well made. The holder itself has some weight to it, and feels very sturdy. The razors are very nice and do not dull quickly. It was a fraction of the price of the electric one I purchased, and is easily as effective. I would highly recommend this to anyone that struggles with dry skin. It really helps to alleviate dry flaky skin. Leaves my face soft and smooth! Moisturizer is able to absorb easier, and makeup application is so much smoother! ... show more

I love this facial razor! I’ve only ever used the cheap packs of facial razors & I’m so glad I decided to try this out. It’s very sharp, sturdy & works much better than any other I’ve tried! I also like that it comes with replacements for the blade when it gets dull.
