I bought this for my 6 year old and he loved it. He rode it on the sidewalks of our neighborhood. The problem is this thing is not built to last. Ordered July 28th 2023 and immediately I noticed the housing on it started to crack where the pieces are held together with screws. My kid weighs 60 pounds, no way this can handle an adult or over 200 pounds as stats in the product details say. Anyways, the cover never came completely off so we duct taped the edges that were separating and my kid kept riding it. It finally stopped taking a charge two weeks ago, mid november. He paid $160-180, can't quite remember, not worth it for something that worked for a little over 3 months. I'm an electrician and took the thing apart to see if I could identify the issue. The plastic housing is a joke, almost 75% of the screws holding the top cover to the bottom were broken off, the plastic is too lightweight to handle the stresses it is put through. The other components seemed pretty solid but I was never able to make it run again. To bad, my kid had a lot of fun on it and saved his own money to buy it. I feel pretty bad so I might buy him another but I'm going to stay away from this brand. There is a reason it only has a 90 day warranty.

Christmas gift for my son. Sadly it was used and not new as advertised. We paid over $200 for the new one. We only paid that much because it was last minute and needed by Christmas. It seems to be fine but he only rode it for 5 minutes in the house so far. Waiting on the rain to pass and dry up so we can put it on the gocart attachment. Hopefully it holds up! I will update if not. If that's possible.. lol

The media could not be loaded. Cute color!!. My daughter is 9 year old and she said it is easy to control and smooth, speed isn't too fast at all and you can control your own speed. First I bought a smaller one from Target (red color) which is also pretty good and cheaper, just to see if she's really likes it, so yes both are good. It will beep and stop when battery emptied , so that's the time we have to leave it charging until full ( about 5 hours or until the light turned green). For safety reason I do not recommend to leave it charging overnight.

This was a gift for my 11-yr-old daughter to replace her previous hoverboard (different manufacturer). The previous one had terrible battery life and would beep incessantly. Complaining that it needed to be charged regardless of how much it had been. Super frustrating. This one does none of that. It comes off the charger as it should, ready to go, and lasts for at least an hour of pretty steady use. She loves it. It’s also quite stylish and sturdy as well. Sturdy enough for me, a 200+ lb man, to ride without trouble.

UPDATED REVIEW As predicted in my original review, the second hoverboard started to experience the same problem. Hover-1 support is hiding behind their BS 90 day warranty. Yes, read that again. When you spend almost $200 on a hoverboard, you get 30 days from Amazon and 90 days from Hover-1. That's it. These products are absolutely cheap overpriced garbage and I won't be resting until the second one gets replaced. It's completely unacceptable for a company to operate this way. This aggression will not stand, man! ORIGINAL REVIEW If you run into issues be sure to contact support right away or just return it to Amazon within 30 days. I charged my son's Ultra fully before giving it to him. It never took a proper charge again after that. The charger icon stayed lit green and never charged the Ultra's battery. This, due to life and summer, etc. took more than 30 days to discover. So I can no longer return to Amazon, and the only solution Hover-1 will offer me is a refurbished unit. This requires proof that you've effectively permanently disabled the problem unit before they send you a refurb. Oh, and the disposal is on YOU. They don't take it back. For this price I did not expect this to be in landfill this quickly. I really regret buying this for my son. His brother wanted one quickly after, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before that one breaks too. Frustrating return policy and "warranty" by the manufacturer. I won't buy again from Hover-1.
