4 of my grandchildren have hoverboard (two of them I have purchased for the younger two grandkids..one of them being a "My 1st Hoverboard") I have two great grandsons...I purchased this "My 1st Hoverboard" for my 4 yr old great-grandson... these Hoverboard's are always a popular toy with my grandkids/great-grandsons...they're very sturdy and can take a lot of rough play and keep on going and going...years later! Kids love them... especially on hot summer nights...I take them to an empty parking lot to ride and they have wide open spaces and they love the lights on their Hoverboard's....the battery life is great about 2-3 hrs of riding time, on a full charge...maybe more, they haven't ran the battery down all the way, take them home and put them on the charger. I keep hoverboards at my house, I have two brand-new, still in the box hoverboards...for back up. I find them on sale and I buy one...that's how's much the kids love their Hoverboard's. ... show more

My son really wanted one of these for his birthday and this seemed to be the best one. His cousin got a Hover-1 secondhand so we ordered it in a different color with a protection plan. I read all of the instructions and followed them carefully, but it was already having issues charging on day one and the operation did not match the instructions at all. A couple months later it stopped charging altogether, and he didn't tell me until about a month after he noticed. He had fun with it when it worked but it needed to be calibrated every other time he used it. And he barely got to use it before it broke down. I'm just glad I ordered the protection plan and do not plan to purchase ever again. I will say that the cousins' secondhand Hover-1 board still seems to work just fine, so maybe we got a factory defect. But these can be pretty dangerous; one of them almost got their hand stuck in the wheel.. All of the kids in my family really like these but I do not. Might try again when they are teenagers. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is ridiculous. The first hoverboard that I received did not work at all. It would only come on while it was on the charger but it would not move. I received this replacement on Wednesday, May 29th. Here we are 2 days later and it’s literally going crazy like it’s possessed. It worked perfectly fine for one full day and now when you turn it on it just takes off without anyone on it. This was my daughter’s birthday gift and she’s so disappointed. I don’t know what to do at this point. I’ve never had to send something back twice. I don’t even have the box anymore because I thought it was fine after that first day. This is so inconvenient.
