I'm not sure how it would do on a carry on since TSA is so picky these days, but most definitely would work well on a road or cruise trip. I thought this worked fine. I will make a few comments about how it's built and works that may not be apparent just from the product description. The three different-tension bars are easy and quick to change once you figure out how to position your thumb so that it fits deeply enough into the small hole to push the spring-loaded pin all the way down. The bar rattles a bit because the pin and center bar are slightly smaller than the pin and handles. Once you apply pressure to the bar when you start exercising, the rattle is gone. The handles are made of hard plastic, which should be fairly durable but isn't padded. They are also nicely contoured, wider than they are deep, and have dimples on one side to improve grip. My wife and I both found it difficult to begin to bend the bar when it is straight (presumably because it requires more wrist and forearm strength than we have) so we needed to bend it over a knee to get started. You may not have this issue if you're stronger. If you're only interested in internal shoulder rotation exercises (and not forearm rotation), you might consider a hydraulic arm exerciser that starts with the grips already parallel but of course doesn't give as great a range of motion during exercise.

This power Twister bar comes with three different weights: 20/40/60. The plastic handles pop in to the spring and feel secure. The handles would feel more comfortable if they were padded but it's not a deal breaker. I work from home so it's nice to have a few small exercise items nearby to break up a day full of sitting. When this arrived, everyone in my family wanted a turn. We all agreed even just a few reps were enough to feel the burn.

The power twist bar arrived, well packaged, on time and defect free. The bar comes with three spring tension rods, rated at 20, 40 and 60 lbs, and two easily attachable handles. I ordered the power twist rod to use when not in my gym, but sitting watching TV or working at my computer. It's small enough to keep handy and use when taking a break. I started with the 40 lb. rod, and quickly graduated to the 60 lb. rod. It provides a good resistance workout and I can see the results after using it for a few weeks. It would be great to know if there is an 80 lb. rod available as one's strength continues to improve.

I got this HOTWAVE Portable Power Twister Bar so I could take an exercise break while working. I find its quality to be medium. The handles are plastic, not rubber so consider wearing gloves if you have sweaty palms. A nice touch are the youtube videos. They provide you a little leaflet. It's funny, they say to put the handle cords around your wrists yet in all the pictures they show, the models aren't using them. Who knows what to do? Anyway, medium quality, fair value for the price however. Thanks!

The most important decision in selecting a twister bar is the resistance level to get. Speaking from experience (this is my fourth bar), this product with 3 resistance levels is ideal for determining which level is right. My first bar was heavy and long (27 1/2 inches) with resistance levels ranging from 30 to 80 pounds determined by the location of your hands on the long handles. Awkward, I seldom used it. My second bar was 23 1/2 inches long with a single set resistance of 30kg (66lbs). Difficult, I wanted something easier. My third bar was 20 1/2 inches long with a single set resistance of 20kg (44lbs). Great for multiple repetitions. This learning experience with resistance levels cost me about $100. With this product you avoid that expense. Ranging in length from 20 to 22 inches, you effectively get three bars with different resistance levels (good luck bending the 60 pounder!) for the price of one. With superb portability, if you're new to twister bars, this product is the best place to start and maybe finish.

The media could not be loaded. First of all super easy to use anywhere you’re willing to carry it to. I keep it at my son’s desk and he uses it while he’s sitting working at his desk or in between gaming breaks. Being able to move it around to target different muscle groups makes this extra handy! The resistance is true he only downside was a misprint on the 60lb that reads 40 lbs but not worth losing a star. Make sure to have a firm grip and focus because if it slips out it will not be fun as I quickly learned when I took one to the chin and my jaw hurt for a day!
