I'm not sure what the life-span is for blow dryers these days. However, I purchased it in Aug of 2021. It's dying now. Last year it started to change speeds on its' own. I didn't worry about it. Over the last few weeks I can hear the motor grinding. It's not sounding so good and I was waiting for it to die soon. I've ordered something different only because I wanted something smaller.
