Sadly, my straighter of 9+ years finally gave out on me so I was in the market for a new one. This straighter was the third one I brought to try as a replacement and it's definitely a keeper. The plates are nice and wide & longer than your typical straightener. However, this product just gets WAY too hot for me. I had to lower it 25 degrees lower than my usual temp and it still seemed to be way too hot. I applied heat protectant before using it, as I normally do, but it still gave my hair a burnt smell. I have medium hair, so this might be better suited for someone with very thick or coarse hair. Overall it wasnt for me. ... show more

I love this hot iron. Heats up super fast and adjustable. The only thing that is an issue is it leaves a little bit of static in my hair. I can put some satin care on it and it calms it down.
