The media could not be loaded. I absolutely loved this curling iron. It makes the most perfect curls. It's easy to use and it's easy to clean. It heats all the way up to 450 degrees which is a professional heat setting. This was totally worth the price and I would buy this over again.

This iron gets up to temperature fast. Very easy to use & comfortable weight in the hand. The swivel cord works better than any I have EVER had allowing you to move in any way necessary as you style. Love the shiny curls, it leaves my hair very healthy looking=) The box was in perfect condition when I opened the package. I noticed that they included 2 extra springs as that is usually the first thing to go on any iron. I LOVE that they've included 2, that tells me that they stand behind the quality of their products & fully expect this iron will last for a very long time. I typically have to replace springs in 4-5 years, that said I wouldn't be surprised if this iron lasts me for 10! From the time I was little I can remember my grandmother styling her hair with a curling iron from Helen of Troy & my very first curling iron was that brand. Their products were top notch & her hairdresser highly recommended them. I never really knew what happened but the brand seemed to disappear. I noticed on the outside of the box it said HOT TOOLS by Helen Of Troy!!!! It's a miracle, so happy to know I have a quality product for a reasonable price. You can not go wrong with this curling iron. or ANY Hot Tools product for that matter=) ... show more

This is my 3rd curling iron that I have bought from Amazon. I have been steadily reading reviews and watching youtube videos. I returned a much more expensive gold Paul Mitchell that seriously would not curl my hair at all. I then invested in a cheap Conair 1 1/4 inch barrel because my smaller Conair is awesome, but that also disappointed when the beautiful waves it created literally disappeared after 30 minutes. I have been wanting a Hot Tools iron, but couldn't decide on which model. The company's gold plated curling irons are very popular and I am sure that would have worked also, but my main concern was my hair type: very fine, dry, long hair. Although my hair is not really damaged, it is delicate and does snap easily. I have been using olaplex and also protein and moisture treatments but still have to be very careful. The nano ceramic is supposedly the best iron for delicate hair and hopefully will prevent damage. Used it for the first time last night and so far I am very happy. I do find that with my longer hair in the back I needed to turn the temp up a bit, but even on 400 degrees I saw no smoke, nor did I notice a burning smell. I do use a heat protecting spray. In fact, the iron was very gentle. There is definitely a learning curve for me on this tool, but I think I am going to love it. The swivel cord is awesome, the weight and feel of the iron makes me believe it will last, and most importantly my large waves lasted through yesterday evening and into the night. I wore my hair in a loose braid last night while I slept. This morning I simply took my hair down and used some dry shampoo, combed it with my fingers and my waves still look amazing. If the iron continues to function this well I will likely purchase the 1 inch also. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is an awesome iron. I had to find a replacement for mine, as they don't seem to last very long about 2 years. It's a shame, as I do like it a lot. I like the ceramic coating it has since the last one I got didn't have it, and I burned my hair with that one. I'm now going to stick with ceramic only. I do love the dial feature; the ability to adjust the temperature is great. ... show more

If you're looking for a curling iron that will work on your cruise ship? THIS IS IT! I hate that my fancy devices won't work... this is an excellent quality curler that will work in port and at sea!

Updating this review (as of 7/14) and lowering my rating from 4 atars to 1 star. I mentioned in original review that it did not get as hot as it should but then, the clamp started becoming loose and would not hold my hair. Now the power is flickering on and off constantly while curling my hair when Im twisting the iron… with only residual heat, it will not curl. I spent a long time attempting to get beach waves this weekend to no avail. I bought this iron in March 2025 and now its July 2025 and it is going in the trash! This company really should quit trying to cheaply manufacturer their products and get back to making Quality products or they won’t have a business. Original review: I had this exact curling iron when I was a hairstylist for 15 yrs and loved it. It recently broke so i ordered a replacement. Its still a very good curling iron but does not get as hot as the original one I had. I have the heat turned all the way up and it still doesn't heat enough to stay curled. Not sure if I just got a lemon but I'm disappointed in the quality this time. Still giving it 4 stars because it is easy to use, the perfect size, but i just wish it got as hot as the temperature states it is. ... show more

I’ve been curling my hair daily for years. This iron didn’t last half as long as my Amazon brand $25 xl barrel I had for years. After about 1.5 years, this hot tools curler started to have an unstable connection and would flicker on and off while plugged in and turned on. It also squeaks and got my hair caught in the hinge frequently. Finally it caught on fire during a vacation (lol) and I will be going back to Amazon brand because this is not worth the money IMO. Curled well but nothing extraordinary! I have thick hair and couldn’t do very large sections. ... show more
