I will have to speak only on hot coffee as I will never use the "cold brew" feature myself. But for K Cups of hot coffee, this thing works as good as my $400 Keurig machine I have at my shop. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it will get the job done at a fraction of the price. It brews pretty fast, and seems to be very well made of high density plastic that should, under normal use, stand up to the test of time. It comes with a K Cup pod as well as a grounds pod so you can brew your favorite bag of grounds as well. The water reservoir holds plenty of water, BUT PLEASE DON'T FILL IT UP... LOL. That brings me to my only negative point, the reservoir isn't really a reservoir, per se'. You don't fill it up and brew until it runs out. You fill it to your desired ounces and brew from there. This will be a little "extra", as the one at my shop you just fill up and select your brew size with a button, and I do like that convenience, but again, you're paying 25% less for this than the retail on the most cost effective Keurig machine. So take that for what it is. The coffee brews hot, and the cup is every bit as good as any of the other 3 non-Keurig units I have as well as the actual Keurig. So, if you'd like a coffee maker that will save you some money for K Cups, this one is your jam! It may lack a few bells and whistles of more expensive brand name units, but for the savings you can't go wrong here!

I recently purchased the Hot & Iced Coffee Maker and overall, I'm impressed with its performance. It's super convenient with the one-touch brewing feature, and I love the flexibility of being able to use both K-cups and ground coffee. The iced coffee setting is a nice touch, and the bold option really lets me enjoy a stronger brew, which I appreciate. The design is compact, and it fits perfectly on my counter. It also works well with my travel mug, which is great for my busy mornings. The self-cleaning function and descale reminder are useful, making maintenance a breeze. However, I did notice that the material of construction feels a bit cheap. While it works fine, the plastic body doesn’t feel as premium as some other coffee makers I’ve used. It looks a bit flimsy, which made me question its long-term durability. That said, it brews great coffee in no time, and for the price, it’s still a solid choice. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable, compact coffee maker, just don’t expect the highest-quality materials.

This machine is very lightweight and I love that it can be used with K-Cups or your own ground coffee. It doesn't have a serving size setting, it just runs until the reservoir is empty. It's slower than a Keurig, but still reasonably fast. Unfortunately that's end of my praise. The big problem is that it just doesn't extract much flavor from either a K-Cup or fresh-ground coffee (both of which are Starbucks dark roasts, in my case). I suspect that it's because of the low brewing temperature. After brewing, I measured the temperature in my thermos at 152 degrees ("strong" setting) and 150 degrees ("over ice") compared to my low-end Keurig at 171 degrees. My drip machine reportedly brews at 192 degrees (although over a 10 minute brew cycle, the final carafe had cooled to 154, which isn't an apples-to-apples comparison). The capacity of the ground coffee holder is nearly 20 grams, which should be more than enough for an 8 oz coffee, but it still results in a very flat brew, without any bright, bold flavors. And the K-Cup holder can be dangerous. The first time I washed it, I rubbed my finger on the inside and punctured my skin. Unlike a Keurig, which has the "spike" as a fixed part of the coffee maker, this one is inside the K-Cup holder that you need to clean. And finally, I don't understand the difference between the "over ice" setting and the others. It seems to me that the brew cycle is nearly identical to the "strong" setting. The resulting brews are nearly the same in taste and temperature. Overall, there's just not a lot to recommend about this, except the price.

UPDATE: After leaving my initial review I was contacted by their customer support team rather out of the blue and offered an Amazon gift card for my troubles. Not all products are perfect. But solid customer service deserves five stars. ***** original review: I like this. It’s cute. It’s compact. It barely takes up space on my counter. It’s simple to navigate and straightforward, and very easy to clean. Only problem is… the code doesn’t come out very hot. The heating elements… nonplussed. I get warm coffee for like twenty minutes in the morning before it goes cold quickly. That hasn’t been my experience with other coffee machines, so I can only assume that it’s a thing with this model. Hot coffee is kind of a big deal for a coffeemaker, so just be careful when selecting this one.

It doesn't seem to know how much "1 cup" of coffee is. It almost overflowed my regular coffee mug, so I tried again with one of the largest mugs I own and it almost overflowed that too when I just pressed the standard "hot brew" function. It keeps the water in the machine, but that feels like a bit of a joke because it only stores about 2 mugs of coffee, give or take, at a time. Maybe more if it bothered to actually stop pouring when it was done. It also splashes quite a bit as the coffee pours, so you can't put it anywhere you don't want to get covered in coffee splatter. This is especially limiting given how incredibly short the power cord is; it needs to be placed almost directly next to an outlet unless you want to move it every time you use it. 2 stars because it DOES make coffee from K-cups so it WILL function as a cheap coffee maker, priced at $50 at time of review.
